Went on a Friday around noon. I mean...it was pretty. Its just a movie they project on all four walls (the same thing on each wall) with some lighting and sound. The music, especially La Vie En Rose, was so loud that several of us (in our 30's) covered our ears. The animation bringing his work to life is cool but theres no cohesion, no story, no learning anything. You sit on benches and watch it play. We were expecting an interactive and educational experience and this is NOT that. To advertise it as this big immersive experience is incredibly disappointing. We watched the fountain outside the Bellagio and all agreed it was far more impressive and fun-and free! And Meowolf! Talk about incredible! This was not it. Tried to buy merch and the card machines were having issues that we didn't want to wait...
Read moreI’ll give this a 3.5 - the extra 1/2 star is for the merch being marked down and really inexpensive. The experience itself …. This is a beautiful movie of Van Gogh’s work in motion. It was really cool how they animated his art and put it to music. It was fun to watch … but hard to watch. My main disappointment was that I thought this was going to be a full sensual - visual, auditory and kinesthetic. It wasn’t - that was my main disappointment. But if you want to see Van Gogh’s work animated beautifully with excellent music accompaniment, then go, enjoy and don’t forget a 2 for 1 stationary set — I highly recommend the VIP package too!!...
Read moreWhat a waste of money. If you buy tickets in person, they’re $32 each. If you buy ticket online, it’s $16. They make it impossible for you to be able to apply the 50% off in person. So you’re stuck walking outside the “exhibit” trying to connect to spotty wifi just to get a discount.
Even after buying the discounted tickets. The show was to say it nicely, TERRIBLE. I thought it was an art exhibit… no… it’s a glorified PowerPoint slide with some music. The “movie” made no sense at all.
So if you’re wanting to spend $32 for a terrible 45 minute video on a video wall and you hear a very very loud constant buzz (I’m assuming from the AC, and this was reported over a year ago) then go for it! I wish I could...
