Had security follow me out to my hotel because I refused to pay for a drink that had ash in it from some herb they burned on it. Yes, the taste of burnt ash was had when the drink was about a 2/3 done, but I am not paying $20 plus for 2/3 of a drink especially after tasting such an awful ashy taste. The bar tender offered to replace it, implying I won’t have to pay for the ashy drink and then demanded I pay for the ashy drink after I had consumed more drinks. Right before my wife and I stepped outside the restaurant, the manager told us that our tab was fine and that we could leave. I complained to him about the service and then he falsely accused me of running out on the bill when he initially said my payment of $71 was fine. The manager and security then followed me and my wife to our guest room elevator and called hotel security on me and my wife and so we had to wait to get back into our room and after the hotel security cleared everything up they ignored the overzealous Toca security guard and manager. They falsely told hotel security that we didn’t pay for our Toca bill so that we could get kicked out of our hotel where Toca isn’t even located. All that for $10 they said I owed them when the bar tender initially said she would replace the bad drink and the manager initially said we didn’t owe. All that after I consumed and paid for more drinks after my “replacement” drink and paid and tipped on everything except the drink that had ash in it that the bar tender had supposedly replaced. This place is full of fake trendy people that think they offer more than they are worth.
This is a reply to a manager that responded. You also yelled back and you followed us to our room. My wife was afraid of you and you tried to get us kicked out of our hotel by lying that we walked out on the bill when you said we were fine with the bill, but you didn’t like my response and so you created the lie that we walked out on our bill causing our hotel security to delay our entry to our hotel. You are not manager material, you are a sleazy bouncer type and you lied to the Aria to get us kicked out which failed. You harassed us and all for $10 because I paid for my drinks. You, your security guard, and bar tender should be ashamed. Would you want to pay for the unpleasant experience of drinking bitter ash? We continued to consume and pay and your bartender only focused on the fact that I almost finished the drink that had ash. $10 was not worth it and I even tipped her. Talk to her and you should apologize. Me yelling was justified especially after your bartender made us believe that she would exchange the drink for free and only told us after that we would pay. All for $10 tisk tisk. Please explain how me getting me and my kids and wife kicked out of the if the Aria would have been justified? Sorry little Napoleon,...
Read more🔥 Savoring the 🔥 and flavor at Toca Madera! From flaming steaks to spicy margaritas, this spot is a whole vibe. Perfect for solo adventures, girl nights, or impressing clients! 🌶️💃✨
@tocamadera Las Vegas is one of my favorite upscale spots on the Strip — where moody vibes, fire performers, and bold Mexican flavors collide. It’s definitely not just a date night place — it’s a vibe for solo travelers, girl groups, and business diners alike.
Why I love it:🥰 The energy here is unmatched — dramatic lighting, live music, and tableside fire shows create a sensory experience that feels alive. It’s where you go to impress yourself (or someone else).
You can choose these dine in areas •Main Dining Room: Elegant space with an open kitchen and oyster bar, perfect for group dinners. •Main Lounge: A lively area with a 360° bar, great for cocktails and live entertainment. •Noble 33 Room: Exclusive private room with a bar, DJ booth, and TVs for events or intimate gatherings. •Espadin Private Dining Room: Intimate space for 8-10 guests, ideal for business or small celebrations. •Sotol Private Room: A fully private dining area for up to 14, with a large TV for presentations. •Bar Area: A stunning 120-foot crystal bar, perfect for solo diners or casual cocktails.
Each area offers a different vibe, making it perfect for any occasion!
🍽️What to order: Start with the truffle quesadilla or ahi tuna tacos — they’re light but full of flavor. The flaming tomahawk steak is a must-share showstopper (they set it on fire!), but if you’re solo, the chile-rubbed salmon or enchiladas de mole negro hit just right. Save room for the churro ice cream sandwich or brown butter cake
🍹Drinks? Get the Amante Picante if you love a spicy margarita — or ask the bartender to surprise you with a mezcal-based drink (they nail it every time).
RSVP? 🕰️Yes. Absolutely. Even for bar seating, make a reservation. It’s popular, and walk-ins might wait over an hour on weekends.
What to expect🤍 It’s loud, luxurious, and lively — this isn’t a place for quiet convo, but it’s perfect for celebration or a “treat yourself” night.
✈️Traveler tips: •Solo? Sit at the crystal bar and chat with the bartender. •Dress to impress — it’s a photo-worthy space with glam vibes. •Great pre-club dinner or late-night bite spot.
Overall✨ If you want more than just dinner — you want an experience — Toca Madera is worth it. A little pricey, yes, but the memories...
Read moreThey start you with complimentary chips and salsa (more pico de gallo than salsa) which was good. We started with the wagyu tacos and ceviche, the wagyu tacos are two bite tacos and you get too. The wagyu was good but $34 for those 4 bites seems extreme even for Vegas. The ceviche was the best I’ve ever had, definitely recommend. For the main course we both got the 6 oz petite filet, this steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious-top 5 steak I’ve ever had. For a side we had the street corn, which was eh, not too street corn like.
The food here was great, but I have a problem with how they treat you as a guest. I mistakenly thought my reservation was at 7:30 instead of 7:15, well I notice while walking there. The communication they give you says if you’re going to be more than 15 mins late call them and let them know. Well I called and they just don’t answer the phone. So we get there a few minutes after 7:30 and the bouncer like security outside tell us the reservation was canceled since it was more than 15 after the reservation. They lead us to a hidden back bar and say we can eat here though. Like why even say you can call if you’re not gonna answer the phone and just cancel the reservation.
This is also the second bad experience with this part of the restaurant. My gf and I tried coming in July, we were on time for our reservation but they wouldn’t allow me inside the restaurant because I was wearing a baseball jersey. That’s crazy considering the jersey is like $150, this is the worst part though. They ask me if I’m wearing a tank top or under shirt because they would allow me in with that, but not the jersey—this makes zero sense. Then it’s the way these bouncer type people treat you, it’s like they’re better than you.
What makes this bad to me referencing back to my second visit is in the bar area there was a table watching football on their phone and being extremely loud yelling and such. So that’s acceptable and wearing an undershirt would be okay, but not a jersey.
The food was top tier, but the way they’ve treated me as a guest spending $200+ on dinner makes me not want to come back.
This is why I’m giving the service a 1 star. I had the overall as 4 star, but after writing all this I got upset about it all over again,so it’s...
