We were staying at The Signature at MGM Grand over Thanksgiving weekend and with only a few days to spend, we wanted to get in as much of what Las Vegas had to offer as possible. For us, that meant getting up and out early in the morning. In all the videos, websites, brochures, and the like, that we reviewed prior to our trip, we knew that surrounding us were some of the greatest buffets on the planet. As beckoning as buffets can be, for us the time required and amount of food available were not what we wanted. You see, as someone who practices intermittent fasting, (1 or 2 meals per day, normally in the later part of the day) I typically don’t eat breakfast. But… We’re in Vegas, Baby! So, we set out to get our adventures started, and to find the perfect breakfast for us. Fortunately, even though we had to travel to a different planet, it didn’t take long. We found ourselves at the vibrant and colorful La Salsa Cantina. There are other locations, but the one we arrived at was located in the Miracle Mile Shops. Apparently, the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood is the hottest shopping mall in Las Vegas. It is 1.2 miles of unique shops, premier dining and live shows. For me, the best part of walking through the mall to La Salsa Cantina, was the artificial sky ceiling. It really is something you have to see, to appreciate how it changes everything about your surroundings. ¡Bienvenidos! We were seated right away and given menus. Our server greeted us promptly, support staff delivered water without us begging, and “so far, so good.” The music was fun, but not obnoxious for the a.m. The decor had all the trappings of a southwest or ‘south of the border’ tourist haven. It’s the kind of place where you keep looking around the room, finding little decorative gems everywhere. All of this was wonderful, but we were here to eat, and that’s where La Salsa Cantina shone brightest. One of the most sinful aspects of Sin City are their food prices, and yet, right on the menu in front of us was redemption. 2 EGGS ANY STYLE Choice of ham, bacon, or sausage. Served with corn or four tortillas and southwest potatoes, $4.79 My wife added a Bloody Mary for $.99, I ordered a coffee, and the food was on the table so quickly, that the ‘decorative gem’ search games weren’t necessary. The food itself was the perfect amount and delicious! We both cleared our plates happily. Unfortunately for us, we couldn’t go every morning that we were there. We are already excited about a return to Vegas at some point (with our kids, next time), and we know where we will be having our breakfast. ¡Gracias por todo La Salsa Cantina! “If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.” ― J.R.R. La Salsa Cantina is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The vibrant decor, infused with colors and textures reminiscent of Mexico, instantly transports you to a lively fiesta. But it's not just the ambiance that steals the show; the food is the real star here. Each dish bursts with flavor, showcasing the authentic and vibrant tastes of Mexican cuisine. From sizzling fajitas to mouthwatering enchiladas, every bite is a culinary delight. One of the highlights of La Salsa Cantina is their commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients. You can taste the difference in every bite, whether it's the perfectly ripe avocados in the guacamole or the tender, juicy meats in their signature dishes. But it's not just about the food; the service at La Salsa Cantina is top-notch. The staff is attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of perfect. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner with friends or a special celebration, La Salsa Cantina is the place to be. With its delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and impeccable service, it's no wonder why I absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an amazing dining experience.

Too expensive for its simplicity. We paid roughly $40 for two breakfast plates that included two eggs, a choice of bacon, sausage, or ham, potatoes, and a couple of tortillas with coffee that costs about $4 the cup ( not included with the breakfast). For comparison, we had a breakfast at a Miami Grill before and the breakfast there is about $6.50 ( coffee included), so an over $25 difference is not justifiable, even if Miami Grill may be considered fast food and it's not a restaurant, it was a more satisfying breakfast. My biggest disappointment is that I only wanted a good omelette, I did not care much for the add-ons of the plate ( potatoes, tortilla or bread, and pinto beans), they were charging the same if I only got the omelette, so zero flexibility! And that is simply silly! P.S. they were charging $6.99 for the same breakfast the next day, something was wrong the day we went that they decided to charge us $9.99 for the same meal. Oh, and we were there before noon, so it cannot be the time. Cannot recommend at all due to false advertising...

An absolutely terrible restaurant. It started when we arrived and had to search for an employee to be seated. We should have left at that point. Instead we were seated and waited another 15 minutes before someone came over to take our order. We ordered everything at once not knowing when we would see them again. They never brought us water, even after asking for it. I personally think water should always be brought automatically at all restaurants, but I know some places run things differently. The food came quickly enough after that, but it was AWFUL. Dry and tasteless, I had to dump Cholula all over it to give it any flavor.

Had to wait about 20 minutes after we finished eating to get our check. The table next to us was trying to pay their bill for that entire time and the waiter never came back to their table to get it. I think they just wound up leaving.

And finally the real kicker, they brought our check and the total was $59.92. We paid with a credit card and the slip to sign was for $60.21. Not a large difference, but a completely different number, not a "fat finger" typo. Do they mark up every check for another few cents as a scam? Not sure but it screamed red flag to me. I would never go back here and highly recommend...
