I live 30 minutes away and always preferred going to this Uniqlo over the one in American Dream. I bought a pair of jeans here a few weeks ago and I know that Uniqlo provides hemming services. When I first bought the jeans, I asked an employee if I had to get the jeans hemmed immediately when buying to get the option to hem and her exact words were "No, as long they're Uniqlo pants, you're good to bring them anytime." I thought "Perfect! I'll come back after a few weeks (because I needed jeans immediately and I didn't own any that fit me at the time; more of a trouser gal)." I just came back today and was told that I had to pay $5 PER PAIR OF PANTS for not having a receipt. I wasn't TOLD that I needed a receipt in the first place, so I shredded the receipt once I wore the jeans. I wasn't given the option to have the fee waived due to misinformation and my account wasn't even looked at to see the large amounts of money I've spent at THIS location specifically (I love Uniqlo and this location is at my favourite shopping centre). I declined to have the jeans hemmed because one thing I cannot stand is having someone lacking enough empathy to be on the customer's side or at least TRYING to meet someone halfway. This is the last time I will ever go to this Uniqlo which is truly a shame because I've been a loyal customer since they first opened. I've had other issues with them, but nothing like this. I'm so...
Read moreI live 20 minutes away and am a huge fan of customer of this brand. I bought my kid pants on April 15th, but my son didn't like the color, so I made time to go to the store to exchange them, and they were on sale for $10.
I went to the cashier and explained it, and he asked for a paper receipt and put it on the app. When I checked the purchase history he called the manager.
Cashier explained to the FEMALE AFRICAN AMERICAN manager, and she listened briefly and only looked for the “receipt”.
she said she couldn't do it because I didn't have a receipt even though she had purchase details that could be fully verified.
IF I were the manager there, receipts are important because of the company's policy but I would have sympathized with the customer's situation first and handled the work.
The position of manager exists to solve such problems.
That woman was NOT my boss, but she was not sorry about the mistake at all and did not do the job properly.
I looked up the app and found an e-receipt, and when I showed it to them, they only exchanged it for the same price.
In the end, I exchanged it, but even though it was on sale, it was the same price and I explained it again!!! I will organize the clothes that bought new clothes and come back to return them all. When I look at clothes, I think of that manager and get angry.
I will NEVER BUY Uniqlo clothes again, the WORST FEMALE MANAGER the...
Read moreBE AWARE: Uniqlo doesn’t let you return items in a different location. On Friday 27,2023 at noon I tried to make a return at Uniqlo in Paramus Park. To my surprise, they told me I can only get my money back at the same location. I could not make a return in a different location. This store policy is only made to inconvenience customers. I am not spending any more money at Uniqlo. I asked to talk to the manager of the store, Andrew, but he wasn’t there. The assistant manager told me the computers don’t let them make returns from other locations. So you have all these fancy computers and you can’t even make a miserable $50 return. Also, they let you exchange the item at this store, so it has nothing to do with their inventory as they said. If this is the case they should make obvious before you travel to the actual store and talk to the cashier. What a joke.
They are just trying to keep my money.
Then I asked for her name, and the name she gave me didn’t even match the name hanging from her neck on her name tag. And when I asked why, she told me she forgot her actual tag and was using somewhat else’s. And then I asked how I am supposed to know you are being honest? And then she ran off calling a security guard that never came. Then I have to leave with my baby and the stupid jacket that I don’t even want. Such...
