After a hunch to sell some gold being the current market offered its blessing, I stumbled across Emerald City jewelers online. Excellent Google reviews got me in the door. Now we know it’s a 50/50 these days to receive a similar experience at a new business. Upon arriving, clean lot, nobody hanging out in the parking places, quickly I was quickly buzzed in. A few families were checking out jewelry and the vibe seemed mellow. After feeling honestly validated with real eye contact, I felt the proper alignment of both happy employees, product knowledge and social skills combined. This scenario speaks magnitudes about how a brick and mortar jewelry store in the post Covid landscape should operate. I’m the guy to check it out “in person”. Especially in this particular niche (jewelry stores), customer service is usually lacking combined with sales tactics that can wear anyone out.

Pam was great and Jake eventually joined our current conversation and helped out. There were a few a watches that I haven’t seen at other shops in Cleveland, let alone the chain inventory. Buying a Gold chain I would go there first after living across the country, prime selection. Gold spot was proper, atmosphere was just right and employees gave a darn. We went to the store a few weeks ago looking for a short multi colored gold neckless. My fiancé had a specific item in mind that she saw at the store previously and the sales lady behind the counter helped us find it. I took a quick peek at the price tag while clasping it on her neck from behind but did not say anything. It was exactly what she wanted so price did not matter. I just gave the sales lady my credit card to pay for it. I was curiously surprised when the credit card receipt had a price that was $100 more then the price on the necklace tag. I asked the sales lady if the price on the tag was correct and she did not even look at the tag to check it but immediately said she made a mistake while cashing me out.
