I was lost in the internet with too much information so I decided to pick up the phone and call the first number I saw. To my surprise, I had the opportunity to speak with Lauren Lekai, who spent time providing me with valuable information so that I can make my son's 21st Birthday a memorable one. I am so impressed with the level of care and attention that I received from her. She broke down my options based on what I wanted to experience. She definitely knows Paso Robles and the venues, activities and wineries that would be suitable for my sons and I. In today's business environment, it is truly a rarity to have a kind person (wonderful attitude) sharing their time and information without any expectation. I bought nothing from Lauren, and yet she treated me like she knew me personally. I am in the customer service/sales industry, and I know that it is because of this kind of above and beyond service that I would even spend the time to write a much deserving review. Lauren from Paso Robles Wineries was instrumental in making our Paso experience incredible. Because it was our first visit (and visiting during a pandemic), I called Paso Robles Wineries to see what was open. Not only did Lauren send a list of wineries doing tastings with detailed descriptions, organized by geographic area, but upon request she sent a list of wineries where we would be likely to meet the winemaker. We ended up booking 3 tastings and were able to meet 3 winemakers at 3 different wineries. Our experience at Gelfand Vineyards / Dudley Vineyard was hands down what made our trip. Kory, the new owner and winemaker, was able to see us out of normal tasting hours, and spent hours chatting with us about life, wine, and business. What a wonderful anniversary weekend getaway we had thanks to Lauren Lekai of the Paso Robles Winery Association! We were about to cancel our plans due to concerns over our safety during the COVID crisis but after speaking to Lauren, we trusted that the wineries and restaurants she recommended were safe, compliant with COVID restrictions, and adhering to a strict appointments only policy that allowed them to control the number of people at their wineries at any one time. The result was a wonderful stress-free, relaxing weekend getaway during which we enjoyed some amazing wines in off the beaten path locations we might never have visited on our own.
