I registered for my baby shower at Burlington Coat Factory and I would not recommend it to anybody. I ordered a dresser for my babies room from here and they told me it would take about 5 weeks or so to come in. After a while I got the call saying it was in, I went to pick it up the next week (I live over 60 miles away), and once I got there they told me they didn't know what I was talking about. After redirecting me to about five different people, they assured me they never called and it was definitely not in. So once we got home that night, after driving 120 miles for absolutely nothing, I listened through my voicemails and sure enough there was one from baby depot saying my dresser had arrived. But that was just the beginning. So multiple things had been taken off from my baby registry that I had not taken off myself. They would be there one day and gone the next, it was very confusing. One of my friends had ordered me a pack and play online from there and turns out they canceled her order without calling or emailing her to let her know. Then when she looked online to get it, it showed up that there were two of them ordered so she never got it. When my baby shower came it turns out that nobody had actually ordered it for me, that burlington had just made a mistake. So finally, a lot of my family members went in to print off my registry to get things from there. Multiple times their computer system was down and were unable to see my registry. Although all minor mistakes, once my baby shower came almost all the gifts weren't things I ordered either because my friends had a horrible experience with the customer service or because of technical problems at the store. I spent the whole next week sorting through things that were duplicates and returning/swapping them. It made for a huge mess. I really never write bad reviews about stores, but after dealing with this company for almost 9 months, I really recommend that no other pregnant woman be put through the stress of it. ...

I'm not a high maintenence kinda gal but I know when a business needs help. For the upper management that may be reading this, feel free to reach out to me privately if you'd care to discuss the following more in depth.
Here's my tips: Hopefully whoever is in charge of landscaping will assign a good amount of effort to be put forth for better curbside appeal from the main road its off of. Mow it down, weed it out, create something inviting to catch attention without tackiness. Maybe a hill to slope of rich green grass laid out with gardens of dark bark contrasting it leading a clear path down to the entrance of the seemingly baron parking lot. Idk. That's my 2 cents+.
This establishment Desperately needs a better ambiance, more product and staff. (And no offense to the current staff, but perhaps some consideration of aposition change that is more well suited to each employees strengths, personality and energy level, etc?
I couldn't tell if this location was brand new or ready to be shut down. The store is so large! I feel a valuable addition would be to add a couple electric carts for disabled customers. The rest room feels to be miles away so better ceiling signage may be useful for customers ri see from the front sides of the store.
Because of the size of the store, it also could use some random seating areas like for elderly or whomever needs, to take a load off as to be able to work their way through the store at ease.
I live a few states south of this and live the Burlington down there. I hope this one will blossom into its potential.
My hope is that someone will notify me when the place improves so when I'm back up there visiting family, I can modify my current review to more stars and brighter...
Read moreI didn't really like it. When I used to shop there years ago I found robs they were selling as "now" that had been sewn up that had rips in them but with the wrong color thread and it was poorly sewn. I liked the lower prices and selection of name brand items. BUT it seemed to be the irregulars or poorer quality versions of name brand clothing. I had a pair of gloves that started to fall apart after the first month of use, clothes that had loose threads all the time and started to fall apart much much earlier than other clothes I've ever had. A knit scarf that began to fall apart faster than any scarf I ever owned. I call it Burlington Crap Factory. Maybe they are different now but it was sad to see expensive bath robes at full price that had been re-sewn so poorly. At first I Loved that store with all it's deals and name brand clothing until after the first 3 to 4 weeks and realized that this stuff wasn't even going to last...
