
The actual shopping/purchase of my washer/dryer set from Sherman's was good experience, however delivery and installation was very disappointing. There was no confirmation call prior to delivery or a notice when the truck was at the stop scheduled prior to mine as I was told there would be. When the gentlemen came in there were no introductions made or guidance as to how the installation process would go. The storm door to my house was left propped open while items were brought down to the basement. This in and of itself is not a major issue, but I do have a cat that roams freely about the house and there again was no conversation as to whether or not leaving the door open would be a problem. When I realized no one was going to communicate with me, I shut the door and informed them that I have pets and the door cannot stay open when not in use. Finally, there were multiple areas of my house that were damaged during the process. I live in a old house with narrow entryway and I was not surprised that my door needed to be removed in order for the items to be brought in. One gentleman removed the door alone without waiting for assistance from his partner and instead of placing the door outside the house, he set it inside the house laying down the back hallway. The door again is heavy and in the process of either taking the door down or putting it back up, my wallpaper was scratched, the doorframe was scratched and there is a large stripe of green paint on my hardwood floor where it would seem he slid the door across. There was no acknowledgement from the delivery man that he recognized he had caused any damage to my home.
At almost a week out, I have sent multiple emails with photos to Sherman's and left a message with customer service and have yet to hear from anyone. It is incredibly unlikely that I will be recommending or shopping at Sherman's Warehouse...
Read moreI purchased a dryer from shermans a few months ago. I have never been treated so poorly by the delivery staff who started by cussing and yelling at me because of the location of my house on the court. They then destroyed my flooring after pushing the dryer down the hallway and broke my blinds on the door. When the dryer didn't work properly, I asked for it to be taken with them which led to them cussing more. I had to return to peoria to select a new dryer and was told it was going to be delivered the following day which didn't happen either. I was told it had been accidentally marked for pick up but it could be delivered the next business day instead. I pointed out that I would be working as most adults do during traditional business hours. Sadly, I suspect if I had been male it wouldn't have been assumed that I would be available and at home. I did finally receive a working dryer and after a lot of phones calls; I received a small discount but never received the gift card in the mail that was promised to me. After more phone calls they finally agreed to pay for my flooring to be replaced. I was told by customer service I could pay for the flooring and then they would reimburse me which I declined. Considering that I have been waiting months for the gift card to arrive in the mail i highly recommend others to make the company pay for repairs directly. Based on the first set of delivery guys there will be many more customers with damages to their homes....

Brian greeted us and was more than helpful in finding our new appliance (and all of this occurred within minutes of closing). We could not have been happier with his knowledge and customer service. This is a next day follow up review. I am changing the review to 2 stars, not because of the sales team or delivery personnel, but the logistical mix-up and subsequent irritation. We purchased the refrigerator last night with the expectation of delivery today as we have been without refrigeration for nearly a week. The next day delivery was a huge deciding factor in our purchase. The delivery team showed up today as scheduled and moved an old fridge to the garage as we had discussed. The twist comes though as the gentlemen finished removing the broken refrigerator, he closed up the truck and began to leave. After I asked about the new refrigerator we had purchased, he said there was some confusion on the order and it didn't make sense, but they were told to just move the old refrigerator. After talking to the warehouse again we were told the trucks were essentially done for the day and that we will not be getting the appliance today.
