First off, MYA AND NAOMI are thee very BEST Iāve ever seen, and came across in Ulta overall within any Ulta Iāve ever stepped foot in. Their personalities, upbeat attitudes, and hair are everything. They turned a chaotic situation into a quick fix solution within minutes. My family flew out to Arizona from Illinois and Cali to attend my sisterās wedding. Whomever the Ulta employee that called me earlier that day to call about our appointments at 9:58AM was nice but made a stressed filled nerve wrecking day just worse, I asked ALOT of questions about the services and how long would they take (we were in a time crunch) the employee on the phone assured us we would be fine etc etc, she assured us that this or that could be done in a small amount of time. When Mya got done with my momās hair and makeup it was phenomenal. I was so stoked and when it was my turn and I told Mya what I wanted done in a little amount of time she did her best to let us know and to be honest to say she didnāt know if I would be done by 6:15PM Or 7PM (due to me having long hair and makeup done etc.) which that was understandable but our family had a set time for the wedding so I got upset and explained to her whomever called us earlier on in that day said it would be ok, and didnāt even check with Mya to make sure time wise or anything. And whomever the employee was on the phone just was telling me what I wanted to hear and not knowledgeable about communicating with the other Ulta Beauty staff about specifics to what a long time customer needs/wants. Naomi instantly stepping in offering to help after overhearing our situation took some stress off and Mya jumped right in to do my hair & Naomi to do my makeup at the same time ASAP no time was wasted! BIG UPS TO THEM! THEY DESERVE THEIR FLOWERS, SERIOUSLY! BEST HAIRSTYLIST & MAKEUP ARTIST EXPERIENCE EVER! I am very picky with my hair and makeup (my older sister is a hairstylist, and I usually do my own makeup) so they definitely met my expectations & vision! Whenever I come out to Arizona I ONLY want the from now on! Very Lovely Ladiesš And to the Ulta Beauty Store MGMT please inform your employees that answer the phone to communicate with the other professional beauty staff specifics that customers want or need. COMMUNICATION IS VITAL, and this couldāve been a bad situation but the two ladies that got my mom and I ready for the wedding were so good, willing to help in any way, and on top of things, plus very VERY knowledgeable of products and to what they were doingšš¼. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI got a call this morning from ulta, I hung up after hearing someone ask for me since I was in the middle of a meeting (I just wanted to make sure it wasn't my husband or son calling). I sent the call to VM when it rang back. After checking my voicemail left by Alyssa, the salon receptionist I'm assuming, I was dumbfounded. She was VERY snobby in her message, sarcastically thanking me for "hanging up in my face" and rambled something about confirming my appt and ended her message by saying "since you hung up in my face call back at...." HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I called back to address this message with a supervisor, only to have my call answered by non other than Alyssa. Once I introduced myself to her, her demeanor changed. Immediately she tried making light of her voicemail by acknowledging she left it and skipping quickly to her questions. Nope. I let her know my distaste for her "customer service" or lack there of. She actually DEFENDED her message to me by reasoning she was disrespected by my action. She's right, I couldve let her know I was busy and to call back, but I DON'T owe her an explanation. Ultimately, she should've apologized and diffused the situation instead of contributing to it by continuously defending her actions. She is an employee. I am a client, expecting to pay for a service. And as a client, I should not have to argue with an entitled employee who clearly doesn't understand her role in a customer service position. I asked for supervisor who happened to be gone for the day. Alyssa wanted me to know she already informed her manager of this. Coincidentally, the supervisor is out until the day of my appt. I let Miss Alyssa know her supervisor will be hearing MY side of the story and the voicemail she stupidly left on my phone will also be shared with her. At this point I'm even weary of keeping my appointment, who knows if the stylists are close with this girl? As for now, I'll show up mainly to address this in person. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am giving 2 stars because I enjoy shopping here. I am currently looking for a new hair dresser as mine had moved away. I decide to book with this salon because it is close to home and they are so professional about their store and product knowledge, this should be a good fit, right? I show up for my 1:00 appointment to be advised that my girl...I will withhold her name as to not embarrass her...was running about 15 minutes behind. I told them I had a 2:30 appointment which they reassured me I would be done in 45 minutes for a cut and style. They have another girl take me back to wash my hair while we wait. I am so impressed at this point. Finally my girl takes me to the chair. She asks questions about my hair including how I like to wear it...I give my little history of my hair and tell her I am easy going...does she have a suggestion what would look good for my shape of face and make me look chic and sassy for a 49 year old woman. THREE cuts later to the back of my head and I am getting it styled to send me out the door. They were absolutely correct about getting me in and out...I think I was there a total of 15 minutes.This particular girl advised she wanted to go back to school to switch her career. I understand why and I ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO SO!! My family says the back of my hair looks like a preschooler used their dull scissors to cut it as it is really "choppy" The best part...my 15 minute hair disaster cost me 45 DOLLARS! i have had a master stylist work on my hair that charged that much and I am ok with that because they take their time texturizing, shaping, styling....this however is a complete mess. DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE! Lesson sadly learned
Update: Called to cancel my future appointment and when asked If I would like to reschedule I told her no I was displeased with my last cut....her reply? Oh sorry. and hung up. this is why they get a 1 star rating!...
