Andre House Staff are the best by far. They are helpful and they care. And if you need any type of assistance Andre House is the place to go. Whether it's clothes shoes hygiene a shower. I'm not sure if the Andre House still does laundry. I've never done laundry there. You would need to ask. But there are several resources. And you need to keep in mind. That Andre is there to help the homeless. So whatever it is that you may need ask someone that is a Andre House staff member. And please always stay calm around the staff. They are doing God's work ok. And keep your head up NEVER GIVE UP! Homelessness is a situation you are in. That's not who you are. God bless you. Oh and do yourself a favor. Don't tell anyone what your income is. And don't ask for cigarettes. If that's your habit keep it that way. If you don't have any then don't smoke. Just saying that's a big headache to light up because of stress and like 5 people will ask for a cigarette. We are all poor and struggling so please be kind to each other. And please always be kind and respectful of anyone staff or those who come to the streets to bring us things. It's tough on them too. Dealing with all of our moods and well you get the picture. Be your own advocate. Get yourself into you getting off the streets or shelters tents whatever. You play a big role in how long you are homeless. So get on it for you. Peace be with you each ....
Read moreI really like this place loads more than CASS. It's right next to CASS, they have a lot of services they provide and help people who need the help. Everything from showers to getting a place to have your mail delivered, as well as food and clothing. Much of the same help one could receive at CASS. All but a bed to sleep in at night. Sadly over time and the stress of a weak economy and a poor budget for help from the city, state, federal level and the ever evil Co-Vid19; they have had to cut out certain help they once provided ( i.e., Bus Passes ). So if it's been awhile since you've last used their services, don't count on it being the same as even last year. If your ever in a jam and need help and are unsure how or who or even where; Always remember 211. That is your BFF! The only number you ever need in your contacts that you can dial anytime for help on almost any need. The best part is they provide a live human if you desire one to talk to. It's simple punch in 211 then dial. And you'll be able to get help looking for what your need is, and even help with any available transportation provided. So if you have any questions about what Andre's house has available and want to know and your sceptical about just walking in call them for added help. Still with a few of the help gone, it's still one place I go to. Even if it's just to cool off and get...
