This is a nice, small park in the middle of down town Phoenix. Contrary to a lot of other peoples' reviews, it is still open (It is across the street from the city Courthouse near the old city hall). It is quite small but still enough area for dogs to run around unleashed and play with other dogs.
The busiest and best times to go from what I have seen regularly are usually around 9am and 6pm, especially during the summer and hot months.
It is important to know two things about this park however;
Despite the county website AND the posted sign at the park about it closing at 8PM, the city locks it at 7 or 7:30PM every day regardless of whether it is being used or not. (This is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5).
It is going to be closed for renovations from November 21, 2022 - December 21, 2022. They have been renovating all of the other parks around the city and did so with no notice or "hours of operation" changes online.
What you read online about the hours of operations are not updated and you should understand the two points above before getting in your car or walking 5 blocks and realizing the hard way.
I definitely recommend this park if you live nearby. Worth it for a few blocks walk but NOT worth a 10 minute drive or more since there is hardly anywhere to...

The only negative is the location, as now to many drunks n stoners, now harass people trying to enjoy their pet time, dog park is clean, the outside public sidewalk, homeless now sleeping. Also the crimal element, sorry no police around to complain.Update,Since the dog parks were getting upgraded n closed,People brought there dogs here, at one time, there could be about 10-14 dogs. During the evenings.Now Hardly any dogs on any given day, at most new people to area n a few daily regulars in mornings n evening. BIGGEST CHALLENGE an Complaint, The on going construction, and there is no Parking. BUT the BIGGEST thing is they like people with dogs are friendly, an like the Idea of a...
ย ย ย Read moreThis is a small grassy-fenced in area in downtown to let your dogs touch grass and get a bit of space to run around. It's next to the Cesar Chavez plaza area and while there's not parking lot right in front- there appears to be a parking garage across the street, and there's an accessible sidewalk to get to it. Not the most scenic views and wish the park area was a bit larger. Inside, there's benches to sit. Not much play equipment at all; it was...
