New Windsor Hotel — Hotel in Phoenix

I stayed here back in February to March with my boyfriend who is very violent to me He's screaming yelling for with me threatening intimidating for you One day I was crying out begging him to please stop yelling please stop yelling when the manager comes and bangs on the door boyfriend open the door pointed at me and said she's I don't know then the manager screamed at me to get out. when our argument was about how my boyfriend was supposed to take out $200 for the rent that morning which I guess he paid with my money but there's also 260 more dollars missing for my account in that day. And when question my boyfriend's answer was, you told me to get the money out I had to pay the rent so you told me to get the money up and I got the rent money out and when I questioned him about the other money he just said I don't want to argue you always want to argue I don't know what you're talking about I just want to be peaceful . He also wouldn't give my card back, kept redirecting subject when I asked .Ididn't even have a chance to talk to the manager ,even had the cops come with me back to the place to speak him about what his legal right is how he could kick me out when he doesn't even know what was going on. unfortunately for me the police just said that ,well he says your trespassing and you can't be here cuz he said so. It was a violation of my right as a human being but also makes them out of compliance with American disability act. Even worse I develop this severe mental illness due to domestic violence in the first place. Since that day I've been extremely terrorized and tormented by the flash backs. I was unsheltered losing my mind on the streets of Phoenix for two and a half months before somebody finally helped me. Ironically around that time I was trying to contact the manager to talk to him about getting a separate room from my boyfriend because there was too many red flags in our relationship and they wanted my own place at that time I believe that the owner would understand and let me have my own room that I could pay for myself. What else I want to do with the women know that I was the one that was paying all the rent except for one time. I'm trying to go back and talk to Steve multiple times and other staff members nothing why they would do that with nothing no information and not even let me tell them what was happening. But I saw that morning I told my boyfriend that I was going to talk to the end of it and let them know that it's not me do it all the beer cans and cigarettes and stuff. The only thing that can hold against me was smoking cigarettes in the room and that was when I was so upset with my boyfriend that I was to ashamed for anyone to see my face. I actually wish that I could talk to Steve because that was the best place if I was by myself unfortunately I can't afford any other place right now if I could go back to that place with them I could actually have the peace and quiet that I deserve the need and actually follow the rules of the hotel. But the reason I felt safe at the hotel was because Steve was a gentleman when I first got there he actually looked out for me All of a sudden he's throwing me out with no explanation wouldn't even listen to mine and take care as me You're so traumatizing I couldn't even talk to people about situation because it doesn't make sense. Sadly, the only reason I smoked in the room was so Staff wouldn't see my face after My boyfriend hurt me. And that place could have been a sanctuary for me if I couldn't talked to Steve first. Oh yeah by the way Steve Greg saved pictures of the rendezvous that took place in the hotel proceeding when you kicked me out, videos too. My life has been a living hell and how much time to think about stuff but you guys have a lot of cameras there I only sell the camera views from inside the rooms but all those girls have to be on camera going to them too huh.... I'm so blown away . Steve, you didn't have to ruin my life so...

Cash only. I stayed for a week in May 2023. Above the antique sink the mirror had a crack in it and a piece was missing, also there was a 4ftx1ft rectangle mirror set aside in the small closet probably left by previous tenant. The light in the room turned different colors which was determined by how many times you flipped the light switch. 1 bed, 2 end tables, old fashioned box TV sitting on dresser in corner of room, small closet no door/ curtain, small sink, medicine cabinet mirror and slightly bent shelf on wall. We could see the Fox news building and hotel employee break/smoke area from the window. You have to share bathrooms/ shower with others staying on that floor if no rooms with private bathrooms were available. You are only given 1 roll of toilet paper, towel, bed sheet and pillow. The pipes broke several times while staying there and they replaced part of the AC system in the hallway as it was ancient and the plastic that was duct taped to it wasn't holding anymore. Good for you if you don't see any roaches in your room we saw and k!lled at least 3. The table on 1st floor can be used to give unwanted things and take what you can use. They tried to keep my deposit but I made sure to leave a clean room with pillow, towel and sheets on the bed, swept and threw out trash before checking out. Bf used the address to receive an important piece of mail and was told mail would be thrown out if no proof of staying there was found and they weren't required to hand it over to you. A lot of the people staying/ work there are long term and previously homeless or convicted. Even as last resort you're better off going down the road to CASS by 8am.

So far I have found this small historical hotel, built in 1892, to be safest place I have experienced in Phoenix.

I agree w the other posts of human trafficking is sadly real and some of it saves refugees lives and some of it is of the twisted wealthy that not ever stopped buying selling and trading people, slavery. Truth can be scary and confusing. Human trafficking is real, NOR should it be on commentaries, you all that have made these posts, are speaking about private human beings lives, please be respectful of whatever these people are and have gone through, and above all, if you have tangible knowledge , share w a great team of real people, the Phoenix police whom I have found very approachable, and will keep you safe ! Thank you.

I will stand and say that that is NOT at the New Windsor Hotel nor are Drugs THIS SWEET LIL OLDE QUAINT HOTEL IS :) sweet gem of a unique historical value. Thank you and hope tourist do stop along the way to enjoy what is good and original and historical value to this state and country.
