I wish I could give 5 stars. I've played this course many times this year as I have gotten back into golf and I've walked every time. I grab a push cart (it is often offered to me as a paying golfer) and I play a nice 9 holes after work. Today I paid my fee, grabbed my push cart, saw a big group in front of me and warmed up a little bit. 15 minutes later hit my first shot. As I was walking away down the fairway the women working the pro shop came storming out demanding I pay $4 for the push cart. Now, I've never been charged for this (usually I'm offered a cart by the staff) and I was surprised by this sudden charge. I took my bag off the cart and said had never heard of this charge but understood that if that was the fee then I would pay next time. The employee grabbed the push cart and took it away. OK...I guess paying the $4 is no longer an option. I can walk without it.The group behind me was also very confused as they have also never heard of this charge and give up a push cart also. I started as a single and through the first 6 holes we grew to a group of 5 as the 3-some ahead of us were amazingly slow. As we finished, a golf course employee came around to collect the flags as we were finishing the 8th and 9th holes...essentially rushing us off the course. I understand if you need to enforce the $4 fee for push carts. If you do that, then I will politely ask the golf course staff to leave me alone and not interrupt my 9 hole round so I can finish without the flags being pulled while I attempt to finish my round. (edit) The sun was still above the horizon.
It is also worth noting that as your diligent city of phoenix employee was doing his job of collecting the flags on the course (as I'm sure he is instructed to do...he was very polite) the women who was working the pro shop (and demanded the extra payment for the push cart) was working on her stroke on the putting green as I finished up my round. Taxpayer/greenfee...
Read moreWorst round of golf I've ever had. The group ahead of us was horrible. I don't mind novice players, but these ppl didn't even care about the pace of play. For example, on #4 the group ahead of us completed the hole, one of the players decided to practice on the green. Chipping, putting, chipping and putting. He was preventing us from teeing off. I almost called the club house, I probably should have. I know this is not an issue of the golf course personal, they seem to be understaffed. Fortunately, group ahead of us quit after 6 holes and left. The last 3 holes...
Read moreI always have a great time when I go here the drive range has a great price of 105 golf balls for $12 you just can’t beat that price they also have a area to practice putting and chop shots. The golf courses is very reasonable in price and difficulty it’s about 24 dollars to go on all 9 holes before taxes. I’d say this is a pretty good field for a beginner golfer it might take a little longer to get though each course but it’s a lot of fun and very rewarding. The staff are very friendly and welcoming I’m very impressed the this place and will be coming...
