Relax Foot Spa — Attraction in Phoenix

STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!!!!

I used to love this place! I come in about once a week since beginning of June. I've never had a bad massage, they've never cut even a few minutes off, it's super relaxing, great atmosphere, everything about it is great. (The reason I'm giving my review 3 instead of 0).

Until yesterday (9/29). When I went to pay, I wrote $10 for the tip. The tall dark haired man lurking over me pointed and said "only 10?" I said "yes." Then I wrote the total ($55 massage and $10 tip = $65), he pointed at it and said "no, no $85" I said "no?" He said "yes, add means 85." I said "55 + 10 is 65" he shook his head and said again "85", as if to pressure me to tip him and/or pay more.

I am livid and will never be back to this location. In hindsight I should have crossed off the $10 tip and given him nothing, but so be it. Be leary this man is greedy, manipulative, and rude!! I am disappointed I won't be going back, but that is awful business.

Update: I just checked my bank statment and he actually ran my card for the $85!! Of course no one in this establishment speaks enough English to understand or fix...

A friend and I went here yesterday 03/17/2024 to get the detox service. In the beginning, everything was fine and normal. However, the equipment used did not work in my footbath and the employees continuously came into our area to check on the progress. My friend's equipment worked fine. We were constantly being told to be quiet as they were executing services to other customers, which is fine as there were not many closed-off areas. As time passed the employees kept coming into our space to see that the equipment for my detox bath was still not working. They brought in another detox apparatus from my bath, and it still did not work. Then the employee switched the detox apparatus from my friend's bath to mine and mine to hers, which is not very sanitary. We did not get the best customer service and I question how sanitary they are from what we experienced. I hope they change their practices as it may be a health hazard to others. I came in hoping for the foot reflexology session for one hour. I was very disappointed because it ended up just being an hour long soothing foot massage (think pedicayre massage) without the targeted reflexology technique that is based off of pressure points in the foot. So, if they do not have trained professionals that understand how to perform a reflexology treatment, they should not have this on the menu of services, and frankly why they are called a foot spa is confusing as well. Anyways, I'll give it 2 stars because the full body massage is decent, but when it comes to the foot, they are not experts in this area.

UPDATE: called the massage went to share my experience and she told me there is nothing she is willing to do to make this right. I offered a RE-do with a different service, she told me no. I’m down to one star. No customer service....
