We've been here a few times, we like to try different dishes in hopes that each experience would give us a better idea of the establishment. Well, unfortunately each time we went we left not exactly happy.
(2 Star Food) Perhaps it's 'Skimpflation' but the entree we requested, and what we received were entirely different in regards to portion and overall quality from how it is presented on their menu and online presentation. Photos don't lie – see for yourself. This wasn't cheap either... Barely any meat, presentation was sloppy, quality average and taste was sub-par.
(2 Star - Atmosphere) The first time we visited we left with our clothes reeking in a strong food odor, we chalked it and washed our jackets/clothes, thinking maybe it was a one time thing... Nope. Each time you dine here you will leave smelling like food, the overpowering scent of spices, oils etc. The ventilation or air quality needs to be checked, or something... Idk but it should be addressed. It's certainly not possible that our entrees are strong enough to cling to our pants, shoes, shirts and jackets, hair, arms, etc. We cook ourselves, very aromantic dishes too and yet our clothes are unscathed after cooking and eating...
This is an honest review, I don't want to bash a place out of disappointment but hopefully it will help improve a place with potential. Overall, the after dining food scent on clothes is definitely a first – I don't think I've ever had that problem elsewhere and we dine out a lot, in all types of establishments from all over the globe. We embrace everything we experience, we just don't think we should have to clean our bodies and clothes after dining... The food quality, portions, etc are much more important. We should receive what you see advertised on the menu and/or by the restaurant itself.
Yes, you should still visit and try this place, I have faith they'll improve. Then...
Read moreFirst visit: service was good. Food tasted good, but it was under cooked, I ordered 1 ground beef 1 lamb, 1 chicken and polv. Kabobs were under cooked I would say medium rare, blood was dripping of the lamb. So one ⭐
Second visit:. Went out with friends they order couple of lamb ribs couple of lamb kabob, couple beef and whole bunch of other stuff. Everything was cooked to perfection, everything tasted good. I even ended up ordering some ribs and lamb to go. It's tastes delicious 😋 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Third visit: So today I visited for lunch and I called them ahead to make sure they had lamb ribs. So upon arrival I ordered two samsa 4 ribs one lamb and one chicken. I was super disappointed 😞 nothing was fresh, samsa were already cooked they just reheated in the oven. Also all the kabobs were probably cooked earlier or day before they just reheated it and we're served. Nothing tastes like the second time I visited. Big disappointment . I wanted to talk to the server or the owner but they had big party that just came in, so I just paid my...
Read moreHad a wonderful opportunity to visit Uzbekistan after it just emerged as a newly independent state of the USSR and enjoy Uzbek hospitality and their cuisine. Oasis Kebab house offered an authentic chance to briefly reminisce a happy time. The Samarkand Plov, a rice and melt in your mouth hunks of beef dish with lots of aromatics from onion and garlic complimented with generous julienned carrots and sultanas was prepared just like in Samarkand. We also tried the tandoor samsa, an empanada like savory baked puff pastry enclosing a generous amount of roughly chopped beef and onions was crunchy and delicious. A herb and cheese filled flat bread, the kutebi, was equally yummy. It was fun to take that Uzbek trip for under $ 30. Next time, in spring or summer, will definitely have lunch at their patio evocatively designed to...
