I had a great time! I made a new friend . We had so much fun! The class is extremely informative. He took the time to make sure everyone understood what he was talking about and took time with members one on one and as a group as needed throughout the class. The plants were Jade . He explained why he chose Jade for us, and we even ate a leaf! Had plenty of trees to choose from and pots. Everything was supplied. Next , you need to do a Bonsai 2.0! Sign me up! Best money I spent! I actually bought an extra little plant and have already ordered what I need to plant the little guy and play a little more! I have a new interest! Perfect for some downtime with surgery! Thank you! I look forward to 2.0! 😀 My little tree is still growing strong. I've got to get out there and shape it soo although every time my grand daughter walks past , she pulls off a leaf and eats it. 😆 🤣 so I guess she's helping prune it. Im glad a shared the information that she can eat the leaves because it's a good memory for her. I'm all for making memories.

We buy a bonsai every year for our wedding anniversary. We bought our 5th and 6th year bonsais(photo of 6 below) with thunderstruck to try them out and support other local bonsai dealers and to seek a different variety of bonsais. We paid hundreds of dollars for each and unfortunately neither have held up. My husband sent photos of them to thunderstruck owner with no message of intent to rectify by the owner. Unfortunately, a very special wedding tradition is a bit tainted by the lack of quality of this supplier but the good news is that our other 4 bonsai’s not from this business continue to thrive (see photos)! We won’t make the mistake of going back to this supplier again and cannot recommend them. It is rare for us to write a bad review. If you are looking for lasting bonsais please know Artisian Bonsai Nursey in Thonotosassa will remain our go to as the bonsai we bought from this business has held up for years! We recommend to go there instead.

I recently attended a bonsai class with Larry Naeder and I have to say it was a truly enriching experience. Larry, was knowledgeable and passionate, making it easy to follow along even if you're a beginner. The class covered essential bonsai techniques, such as pruning, wiring, and repotting, with hands-on demonstrations that allowed everyone to practice. What stood out to me was the level of detail and personal attention Larry gave each participant. They patiently answered all questions and provided helpful tips specific to our individual trees, making sure everyone left with confidence in their bonsai care skills. The environment was welcoming and supportive, and it was clear that the class was designed not just to teach, but to foster a community of bonsai enthusiasts. Overall, I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in learning the art of bonsai, whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your skills. Victor G
