I give this 4 stars primarily because of their free curbside delivery. After 7 months of self isolating, this has been an important and highly used service and I deeply appreciate giant eagle for both providing it and for deciding to make it free of charge.
You have to use their app to take advantage of this and I would have easily given it 5 stars if their app provided the following two additional features As a diabetic, I need to be able to see the ingredients of the foods I am buying. This is not provided with the app. My live in girlfriend needs to use her access card for her part of the purchases. Their is no secure way for her to provide the identifier. It is possible if we are willing to provide it in clear text but that would make it available to anyone who can intercept the transmission and we are uncomfortable doing that. It should be secured in the same was as my credit card information.
To their credit they will accept it at the pickup point. However, it takes longer and it is difficult under adverse climate conditions.
Aside from this, if your a customer without these specific needs, then consider it a 5 star. They are always polite and...

There also aren’t enough checkouts to begin with, Its always at least a 5 minute wait in line regardless of how busy the store is.
I swear they hire the worst cashiers they can find too. More than once they’ve missed bagging something that I’ve only realized after getting home, or double charged me for items. All while being almost inhumanly slow
Because the checkout lines get so long, they snake halfway down some of the isles making it frustrating if you need something in those isles that people waiting to pay are blocking.
The store itself seems kinda dirty and poorly laid out compared to other giant eagles. The produce is hit or miss for freshness.
Today there were no carts and no baskets so there was a line waiting at the front door just to get a cart.
Terribly managed.
I only go here if the Aldi parking lot is full

Read moreVery upset with your bakery!! Paid 50$ for a cake that should be feeding 25 guest. Ask for certain colors on the cake. The cake was small. Very small. Colors were added that were never asked for. A half our before the cake was to be picked up, the cake wasn't even put together. They rushed to make a cake in a half hour after three days notice. The cake was a two year cake. I'm totally embarrassed for my daughter and I'm stuck with a cake that is not only to small but very ugly and showed the rush in it. I really hope that you send your cake decorator to school for it because it shows this person has no experience in what they are doing and should not be working on something that is such an important part of a party. Thanks Giant Eagle because if you all I know have to go buy an extra cake and I'm stuck with garbage for a cake. Bad business and very shocking to someone who spends so much money and has been getting their cakes from you for 6 years....
