I rated higher because my food was tasty; good, and I enjoyed my food. I rated lower, because I called in advance before ordering to request that they would accept and get correct my specialized order, which, they stated that they wrote down on my receipt in detail after placing the order. After the food was DELIVERED, Nothing that I was told by the manager on the phone calls were completed correctly as was notated in detail, and as he said that he did on the phone. I THEN, BEING DIFFERENTLY-ABLED, HAD TO THEN GO IN PERSON TO THE LOCATION with the receipt and completely incorrect order with the detailed noted receipt (Which defeated the purpose of being abled to have the order DELIVERED). Upon arrival there was a ton of people waiting to order, and a just as long line of UberEats, Doordash, etc. driver in a separate line to pick-up their orders. The Staff wasn't slow, and production of food was high and well stocked. The staff and management team was very attentive to the my issue and went to retrieve the manager who's handwriting was all on my receipt. The manager apologetically and humbly replaced my order correctly. He did offer if I wanted to keep the wrong order...I told him no, that it's not what I would eat anyway, but I thanked him for offering. He did in turn, for my inconvenience, graciously gave me in my bag a different item. I rechecked my order and it was correct and thanked him again. Do wish Popeyes would bring back the green beans, a vegetables, not just coleslaw (as not all their locations know how to make the coleslaw well.) It's just I was raised and carried on the tradition when I raised my children (now young adults) of making sure their were vegetables and fruits for meals, so even when I want to treat myself and order out/go out to eat, I "LuV" to be able to order a veggie or 2 with my meals as my personal preference. Thank you for the good food.
PS - For: "ALL Pittsburgh, PA Popeyes and any other locations who do NOT UNDERSTAND THIS POINT - "Spice" is nice, so DON'T be AFRAID to make the "SPICY" chicken actually "SPICY", "SPICY" chicken should NOT taste like "MILD" seasoned chicken, OR "What's the point?!". The customers ordering "SPICY" chicken, should be prepared for "SPICY" chicken. If "they personally" CAN NOT handle the "SPICINESS" then THAT'S what the "MILDLY" seasoned chicken is for...for "THAT" group of customers, the customers, WHO...
Read moreThe biscuits were dry this time. The macaroni and cheese was terrible though! The service was bad this time. Itâs usually okay, like a 5 on a scale of 1-10. The biscuits were hard as bricks and dry. No butter or anything, and Popeyes biscuits are usually the best. These are definitely not their usual biscuits. I usually eat at or from a Popeyeâs twice or more a week. That macaroni was horrible! The noodles had no mouth feel. Instead they were mushy and disgusting. I manage full-scale kitchens so I would have no problem helping their staff learn how to make pasta. Also, the cheese sauce that was on it was horrible! The cheese sauce should be made fresh, however due to their volume and lack of culinary skill, maybe they should invest in a better cheese sauce product. Lastly, it seems as though the service gets worse with each visit to the Wharton Square location. They even refused to give a Veteran Discount. I was told that Popeyeâs does not give a veteran discount anymore. That to me is not a good look on Popeyeâs as a whole, because people like myself who have been to war zones and unselfishly lay our lives on the line do not deserve to be disrespected because the person behind the counter hates their life or their job. That said, there is another location that I go to that has better service, if I continue to eat at Popeyeâs. I really want my money back or my meal replaced with food that is acceptable. I donât understand how any self-respecting food service manager would allow anything unexceptable leave their kitchen. That ruined the whole meal for our family. Kids are...
Read moreThe only reason I gave a 2 star is cause the girl at the register was so so nice. I went twice. Once because my dad was craving it and I never had it. I would like to say everything was great but no. They forgot my full mean. And why in the world can't they make more lemonade? They said it sells out in the morning. Well make more, thats what I have done at my jobs. So I call and tell them they forgot my food. The girl on the phone was so lost it was crazy. I gave my name at the end of the convo and said I would be in the next day... hence the second visit. I got there explained what happened and I wanted other food as well givin them the benefit of the doubt! Well the nice girl told the young man like 3 to 4 times he needed 2 chicken and shrimp meals and another meal. Well I checked that order and once again I was missing the same meal. I took it over the guy looked confused after she told him 3 or 4 times how to do it. Well she took over and gave me my food. But still didn't get napkins or utensils or cocktail sauce for the shrimp. Oh and they ran out of Ripn chkn and butterfly shrimp. So we got dried up chicken a few butterfly shrimp and a little bit of popcorn chicken. It was such a shame the way the whole thing went down. Oh and ya might wanna tell them to do some cleaning. The back of the lemonade makers were thick with dust. It was gross. I just wish I took pics to...
