This is super cool way to get around. The funicular runs all day, quite frequently and is included in your transit pass. The waiting areas at both ends are in beautiful old historical buildings. On the walls they display the numbers inclines that used to dot Pittsburgh. This or the Duquesne Incline, close by are must see attractions. P.S. This is a still a functional transit route for many so it interesting to see the regular commuter mixed in with the tourists.

The incline is a great experience for both kids and adults. During peak hours there may be a way because commuters that live up the hill will use this as a way to get up. It’s definitely something you do once as a tourist and never as a local unless it’s a mode of transportation or someone is visiting. Make sure to dress for the weather as the cars are not temperature regulated. Shops and restaurants at the bottom and an overlook at mount Washington at the top.

Great way to go up the mount Washington for some spectacular skyline view. The return ticket is mere $3.50. There are two lifts operates and each lift fits about ~24 people. The average time to go up is about 10 minutes or so. Once you reach the top there are view points where you can checkout the wonderful skyline view of the city. Must check out. the lift moves at a slower pace so you can enjoy the view going up through the glass windows.

I have been to this Incline several times. People talk about the Duquesne Incline a lot, but this incline is at station square and more convenient to get to since it's closer to the city. Plus, once you take the incline and get to the top, the restaurant district is right there. If you go to Duquesne Incline, they do have the better view of the city, and the high-end luxury restaurants are at that section. But that station is a drive down the road to get there, and it's usually very crowded and a longer line to get onto...
