Six of us visited this lovely place to enjoy the wine, tapas, and live jazz and we all had a fantastic unforgettable experience!
Tony Campbell (Pittsburgh's renowned premier alto saxophonist) and his quartet were awesome and we stayed to enjoy the 2 sets at the back patio.
The owners Dr. Juan and Cecilia Lora were very welcoming and accommodating and made sure every customer was taken care of. We loved the food- the vegetarian and meat empanadas, cheese and meat charcuterie and several other small plates that complemented the wines. The white and reds were excellent and our favorite is the Grand Reserve Cabernet Franc. We took home more Cabernet Franc and their Grand Reserve Malbec.
We couldn't wait to return to this gem located in a secure place in the North Shore not too far from Acrisure...
Read moreSimply put, Refucilo is a gem! The Argentinian, Mendoza, Uca Valley wine varitals (reds, whites and sparkling) are oustanding. The venue is first class and quaint. Juan and his small team (most of whom have been to the Uca Valley) provide excellent service and can give you all the details of each wine. The tapas are very nice and compliment the wines. For those who do not care for wine, there is a small craft beer and N/A selection. You cannot find a place in Pittsburgh in which the owner has a vineyard in one of the world's finest regions, oversees the making of the wines in the Uca Valley, brings them to Pittsburgh and is present to discuss them with you. Refucilo often has live music and dance. It's also a fantastic place to hold an group event. El que bebe un buen vino,...

Unfortunately we had eaten before going, so can’t give a personal review of the food. There was another couple sampling some items at the time though, and they seems to enjoy everything. The wines were great. We enjoy dry reds and were pleasantly surprised with these Argentinian products.
We got there right as they opened, so the inside still smelled quite strongly of cleaning solutions. Fortunately it was a nice day, so we sat outside in the little patio behind the building. Not much of a view, but cute area. We would definitely go back the next time we are...
