The town of Placerville has a really neat skate park. Joe’s Skate Park, named after Joe Stancil Senior. It’s located between the El Dorado County fairgrounds and Placerville Speedway. The Speedway parking lot is shared with the skate park. The park is free to use and open everyday from 8 am until the sun goes down.
It has the variety of ramps, bowls, ledges, and straight aways. The few times I dropped on by, which were weekend afternoons, the place was neat and tidy and occupied mainly with families. Chill vibes. But that’s not to say there are never any rowdies.
