For a decade this was my favorite grocery store. The service was unbeatable. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The last two years it has been on a steady decline. The service is awful now. Multiple employees pushing large carts around restocking and the entire time staring at their phone. A guy almost ran into me twice and didn't even know it. He never looked away from his phone. There were several others doing the same thing blocking aisles. No one says hello or asks if they can help you find something. The bakery is much better than it was. They have a better selection and better quality items. However, it's still not on par with Whole foods or HEB. They have made significant improvements and there are some nice items. Unfortunately, they are charging the same rate as Whole Foods for a lower quality product. The pharmacy is still great at customer service and gotten better at inventory. The pharmacy is the best in West Plano. Overall the service is bad now. No one is friendly , helpful, or polite. Multiple employees have their face buried in their phone and oblivious to everything else Their best feature is the pharmacy, great customer service and the best pricing. Their prices for grocery, bakery, and produce are higher than average. They are comparable to WF and Central Market but much poorer quality. Sadly, they have installed more and more self- checkout aisles eliminating the best feature of the store, their customer service. With the addition of more self- checkout lanes there is a noticeable drop in customer service. I suspect there was a change of management that doesn't understand the importance of customer service at this store. It's very sad to see the noticeable decline in customer service. Today I went into the store a little after 8 am and sadly the product I was looking for was nowhere to be found. With the help from Jessie the produce manager, he was able to make a ready meal ear of corn with butter package for me without hesitation. While waiting I got to talk to some great workers at both the produce and meat/seafood department. Thank you to Jessie and the hard-working teams of people at Market Street for making this store feel like home.

I wanted to say a big thank you to Chris at the frozen foods section for going above and beyond. A product I was looking forward to eating was not in stock and Chris proactively came to my assistance; even going so far as checking the back of the store for products. Even though in the end the product was not available Chris let me know that the manager will be notified so they can order some more, while also giving me a projected date they should come in. Which was a very reasonable time frame. If the name is wrong, he is an older gentleman in his late 40s or early 50s tall and bulky. The product was Foster Farms Chicken Wings Hot & Spicy.
I would also like to thank Samantha and Alex at the checkout stand who made my very early morning shopping on Saturday, January 28th at 8:33 a.m. very pleasant and extremely hospitable. Both Alex and Samantha gave great suggestions and reminders. Alex's suggestion about packing a certain wet fruit item so that the bag won't fall apart and Samantha for reminding me about using my rewards account. Great job team!

Read moreThis place is HOME to me and is very dear to my heart! It reminds me of my family, as the United/Market Street brand was what we had near where I grew up. I love the variety of groceries they offer, and if there is something they don't stock currently, they will do their best to add it in the future if they can. Everyone is very polite and kind natured. They still go out of their way by taking your groceries out to your car for you, and they make sure the customer is in good hands. I also love that this organization isn't afraid to hire people with special needs, and has programs dedicated to them!
Today's visit was no exception! I accidentally locked my keys in my car. I was so embarrassed. I called for roadside assistance and after waiting for 3 hours and going through 3 different companies cancelling the request, I asked if anyone in the store could assist me. JACOB, one of the grocery managers, tried to help me with this task. He was so kind! He let me borrow a jacket and even called his brother to try and help me out.
Although we were not able to get it open ourselves, they stayed by my side until a professional finally showed up. Jacob also offered to replace any of my groceries that had gone bad.
