This park has it all! Every piece of park equipment imaginable, great facilities like bathrooms and picnic tables, great accessibility options, incredible views of Mt Timpanogos, and close to downtown for lunch!
One small detail that really sums up how well thought out this park is: all six slides open up to the east. This keeps the slides from overheating in the summer. In a playground as large and varied as this, that’s a very well thought through detail.
The north side parking is close to the playground and the pump track. East parking lot is much larger and close to the swings.
It’s planned out in a thoughtful circle. On the inner/outer rims of the circle there is grass, shaded picnic tables, and trash cans.
There’s a zip line, swings + all ability swings, climbing walls of all varieties, a natural climbing structure, 4 tall twisty slides, lots of ropes courses, a super wide group slides that you can also run up, various activity stations, animals you can climb on, and another zip line at the west end. There’s a pump track (north), skate park (northeast), sport courts (west), and a Viking ship splash pad(??) going in on the south side.
There is a water fountain and water bottle fill station on the north side by the park entrance.
Thank you so much to the Cook Family and city of PG for this incredible investment into...
Read moreCook Family Park was another kid-friendly must see on our trip to the SLC area. Traveling with two littles led us to this park as a way to spend some energy without spending money. Two large play areas include an immense splash play zone and an equally immense playground. There is a ton of covered seating making it easy to stay cool and have a snack or lunch while out of the sun. Also, drinks, bags, shoes, etc aren't roasting in the sun. The splash play zone has lots of ways to get wet and many are appropriate for younger kids. The splash area has cool decking that allows the whole family to walk around shoeless without worrying about burned toes. It was loved by everyone. Sadly, the cool decking ends at the splash zone. This is my only concern with the park. Kids want to go from the water area to the slides or swings but, on hot days you need to throw on shoes. Apart from this the playground is amazing: two huge corkscrew slides, multiple climbing options, zip lines, saucer swings, and more make this the place to run around and have an adventure. Overall, Cook Family Park is a great place to spend part of the day splashing, climbing, swinging, and...
Read moreThis park is absolutely awesome—easily one of my favorites! It has everything you could want for a fun and active day, including basketball courts, a playground, mini zip lines, and even a skate park. Whether you’re shooting hoops, skating, or just enjoying the playground, there’s always something to do. It’s a perfect spot for kids, teens, and adults alike, with activities for all ages.
I love coming here with my friends to play, explore, and enjoy the space. It’s always lively, but never too crowded, making it easy to have a great time without feeling overwhelmed. The park is super clean and well-maintained, with staff or volunteers ensuring that everything stays in great shape. It’s nice to visit a place where you don’t have to worry about trash or neglected areas.
Beyond the fun activities, this park has plenty of open space to relax, whether you're looking for a shaded bench to unwind or an open field to run around. It’s a great place to kill some time, enjoy the fresh air, and make memories with friends and family.
If you’re looking for a well-kept, exciting spot to spend time outdoors, this park is definitely worth...
