Hokulia Shave Ice — Restaurant in Pleasant Grove

Everything that could’ve gone wrong, went wrong. The card machine was broken and we had to use Venmo, then the shave ice machine broke. We waited 40 minutes for our shave ice. They did not communicate what was going on. We paid extra for the ice cream and snow cap and they forgot both. There was no flavoring in the bottom half of our cup, it was just ice. Worst shave ice experience and service. In situations like this they should communicate what’s going on and offer a refund so we have the option to go somewhere else and not waste so much time for...

I don’t think they’ve ever tried to eat their own product. The cups are ridiculous and they pack the ice way too tall and lopsided, it’s a complete mess to eat. Ice and syrup dripped all over my hands when the girl handed it to me. And then with every spoonful of ice, it was falling off all over the place. Not only that, I just returned form Hawaii, and this is nothing like authentic Hawaiian shave ice. This ice is way too chunky, not super fine like it is on the islands. My teeth hurt. Never...

Their shaved ice is amazing, especially their vanilla. The issue is their customer service. As I was waiting out front for my friend to show up, they closed shop without any notice to me because of bad weather, which was a sprinkle. I understand that, but not the lack of notice that they were closing while I was waiting there. I knocked on their window within a few minutes of it happening when I noticed and her response was they were close. Basically ignoring the fact of closing in my face....
