Update: STILL DROOLING Seriously the best burger my family has EVER had. The only place my kids agree on 10 times out of 10. Hits the spot every single freaking time. Garrett is so kind and the food is always so, so, so , so so so good. I selfishly don't wanna let the secret out of the bag but also I am so happy to support this lil business. Best burger I have ever had, and my family agrees too! YUM!!! I've wanted to try this place for MONTHS. It looked phenomenal. Today we finally stopped in to try it and it was everything I expected, and more! My boyfriend got the mountain man burger (double patty and bacon) and I got the mountain man loaded fries with criss cut fries. The smells that came from the truck as we waited for our food were pure torture. The whole parking lot was filled with the smell of them cooking up our food and we were dying with anticipation. When our food came out, portions were HUGE. I could hardly eat half my fries, even with my boyfriend's help . The meat was tender and flavorful. Perfectly cooked. The jalapenos, the tomato's, the cheese, the bacon, the onions.... OMG. My boyfriend loved his burger as well. I tried a bite and thought it was delicious. So filling. The owner, Garrett, stopped by and checked in on how we liked it. Great guy. Super friendly. Also gave us a punch card! So glad we finally made it over. 100/10 recommend. Garrett said he's "chasing the sun" so just head on over when the sun's out and he should be there. Ive found a new fav spot in PG.

Found this place after googling “best burgers in Utah County”. The usual suspects came up in the search with 4-4.5* ratings but since moving here a year ago I’ve never been hugely impressed by any burger I’ve had. Scrolled down a little and Burger Pioneers was sitting there with a perfect 5* rating, but was nowhere near the top. After reading some of the reviews we decided to head down for lunch. We were not disappointed. We opted for the Wild West and Gold Rush Cheeseburgers from the menu. The buns are fantastic. Patty, best I’ve had in Utah. Salad, fresh as you could hope for and the pioneer sauce I don’t have words for…….epic is as close as I can offer. We accompanied our burgers with a portion of waffle fries and a regular crinkle fry…..both of which were made fresh to order and accompanied again by a lovely serving of pioneer sauce. The owner even offered us a serving of his spicy version which is even better again. All in with drinks was around $25 which obliterates the ridiculous prices offered by these big chains……and I’d much rather give my money to hardworking, independent business owners who are really nice than some conglomerate. The guys there are fantastic, the service was great. Hands down won’t find better in Utah County and I’ve found my go-to burger joint after a year of searching. Well done guys see you again soon

The burgers were fresh and ordering from a covered wagon was fun and unique. The employee working was really nice. However, I don’t think my husband and I will be back. We ordered 2 burgers and we added bacon on both of our burgers which was extra charge. When we ate our burgers, we couldn’t even tell there was bacon on there. We couldn’t taste it at all. It wasn’t crispy. The bacon was really small and it was a cheap kind of bacon. We paid extra for it and couldn’t even tell a difference. We ordered a side of waffle fries for our 11 month old daughter. Most of the fries were super hard and way over done. We couldn’t feed them to her since she doesn’t have all of her teeth. We ended up throwing them away because they were just so hard and not good. It is also super expensive. No fountain drinks just canned soda. Also, when we ordered nobody else was there and we waited so long for our food. We waited in our car since it was freezing outside but the service was so slow.

All other burger joints have officially been moved down the priority list after trying Burger Pioneers for the first time tonight. I haven’t had a burger anywhere near as good as this in years. We were also able to visit with the owner, Garret Smith, and learn more about his story. He opened the food truck just 9 months ago in October of 2022. Such a nice, humble man, working hard and producing a great product using only high quality fresh ingredients. For example, they only slice one tomato at a time as needed…so no excess food just sitting around hoping to be used. The beef is grass fed only and never frozen. The 1/3 lbs. patties combined with an abundance of pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, special sauce, and cheese(we swapped the cheddar cheese for pepper jack), all made my mouth pop. Again, super good and this is our new go to for burgers. Note: it is a food truck that provides limited outdoor seating, but don’t let that stop you from grabbing and enjoying a truly...
