Employees were young and unmanaged. They played around like 9 year olds while customers were in the theatres watching their movie choice. I think it is great that they are playful, but there was some work that needed to be done. I witnessed this as I escorted my niece to the bathroom in mid-movie viewing of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The floor at this point was covered in popcorn from what would seem to be from the last week or two's showings. They could have vacuumed at this point. When a large crowd of adults were in the concessions area, the employees behaved themselves. Otherwise they were a bit lazy and acted like they were just hanging out. The cleanup work in the theatres, in between showings, was very fast and efficient. The snacks are very inexpensive and is a great place to bring a date or family. I just would like to see the kids working there taking care of things when they are not being watched. Vacuuming would be nice to see on an occasion during operating hours while all the customers were in the theatres. I can say that the theatre in general was very clean outside the carpet made of popcorn.
There has been a recent switch from being a second run theatre to a first run theatre. They have all the modern amenities and technology. They show a good variety of movies for a small theatre. They have showings of movies according to demand, and I assume, contracts with the studios for time slots. The showings signs above the theatre entrances are flat screen monitors that can be changed as needed with just a keystroke. There is plenty of parking and the best movies will...
Read moreUPDATE: RIP good buddy. To the Water Garden owners who kept this theater alive for so many years and through a pandemic, who gave us an affordable way to catch a movie (with concessions!), who encouraged a family friendly environment with no R movies and closed on Sunday, THANK YOU. This place will be missed. We will never be going to the Megaplex that replaces it and, honestly, probably just won't go out to movies anymore. Nothing but love and thanks for the family memories!
Really impressed with this place - the pricing for concessions is ingenious, really. They still have great margins (because popcorn/drinks, duh) but at $1/2/3 prices I feel like an idiot NOT to get a popcorn, candy & drink. Can get concessions for 2 adults for the price of one bucket of popcorn everywhere else. Tickets are super affordable AND you can reserve online. Love that they buy into the local pathos and close Sundays + don't show R-rated movies. Service was super friendly as well! We'll be back! Kind of a no-brainer destination for taking kids to the...
Read moreThe Water Gardens is a nice little theater. The prices of the concessions is actually quite reasonable. I took my wife to see a matinee movie and we only ended up paying $13 for the tickets and concessions. Typically, when we go to the movies we end up in the $20-30 range, so this was quite refreshing.
The theater seems to be a bit older, but as far as theaters go, it was pretty clean. We didn’t have popcorn on the floor and the floor wasn’t sticky with spilled soda.
This isn’t a 5-Star quality theater and they aren’t trying to be, so don’t set your expectations for it. The theater is more of a budget theater and they do very well at that.
The staff is very friendly. It has a small-town theater feel with the staff. Other theaters, they process you like like an animal. Here, they smile, ask you how you are, and are willing to help you out.
I would recommend this theater for those who are wanting to see a “cheap” movie. If you are looking for high-quality seats I would go else where. Overall, this is a good theater and would...
