I'll never buy produce here again, even though It's better than the other one. But it still feels terrible to shop there. I went in today. Spent about 125.00 on groceries. Then when I left, I noticed their house plants. I walked over to look, carrying my bags in hand. I was googling their needs, thinking they could have been a good Christmas presents. While I was out there a worker came out and threw the onions around in a manic way. They're all bruised now. Looking at me out of the corner of his eye, and slamming the onions around like it was the only way to communicate with me. Like... dont steal I'm out here 2 feet from you abusing onions you good for nothing thief. I was about to buy like 3 or 4 houseplants. But the worker didn't say a word to me just slammed onions as a means to tell me to get lost. So i did. I walked about 30 feet away, taking my groceries back to my car. From there I watched him. He went back inside immediately. He had abused the onions enough... he had saved the day by ruining produce to run me off while I was thinking about buying more stuff. dude I make 6 figures. Dude I just spent 125 in your store tonight. Dude you could have asked me what I thought about the houseplants. . . Dude you just bruised up other people's food to tell me not to steal when that was never on the agenda.
If anyone goes here, I suggest you avoid the onions outside by the houseplants. Avoid the produce altogether. Also avoid the "sales people" who really just want you to go away.
Seriously, They bruised many bags of onions tonight instead of selling me cool house plants. All that, because dude was doesn't want theft. Also dude really doesn't want sales either. I'll never buy produce here again. This place makes me feel like a...
Read moreI like grocery outlet in general, but this particular one located in Pleasant Hills, California rates a one star on service. I’ve been there three times and each time I get to the cash register the girls are talking to each other over the customers. They’re having their conversations, gossip and complaints about their personal life. The customer is not even acknowledged. No eye contact. No hello. No asking would you like a bag? One gal even went as far as to say to the other gal at the next cash register “I can’t wait to stop working here “. You’re lucky if at the end she might actually glance at you as she hand you your receipt and tell you how much money you’ve saved. At my last visit, at one point a third girl showed up and joined in the conversation. I don’t know if she even worked there or was just a friend who came over to hang out by the register to catch up on the daily gossip. Yep, customer always...
Read moreWent in yesterday to get a couple of things and noticed. The store isn't as organized as it was, compare to the last time I was there (About a month ago). Anyway, that wasn't the reason for my review. I purchase some items from their deli area, when i got home. Two sliced turkey bag and a yogurt bottle, both expired. If I remember, before I threw it out, turkey has already been 5 days expired and the yogurt was 3-4days. Also, I tried asking the person that worked there, where the restroom was (memory sometimes slips away here and there) , he gave me a "I'm busy dont want to talk to you" vibe. He didn't say those words, that's just the way he made me feel during the encounter. Long story short , disappointment across the board. I would not recommend this Grocery Outlet to anyone, SPECIALLY their employee who are lousy at customer service. Avoid at all cost. It is going to cost you...
