update* the owner reached out to us and explained how they trained their team so that this would not happen again in the future. It’s not easy to make phone calls like this to customers, so we appreciated the gesture. They were not defensive, instead open to feedback, and it seems they want to improve their business for their customers. ————————————————————
I rarely leave feedback like this, you can see this from all my past reviews. We came in on a Sunday and made a bowl and a large resin frame. My son had a nice time and they were appropriately helpful and accommodating before we spent our money. So I was ready to come back and drop another small fortune until this put a bad taste in my mouth: while they claim to offer a military discount they didn’t tell me this upon checkout. Perhaps they hope people won’t ask about it? I only found out about the discount after paying when I saw their summer camp leaflet advertising military pricing. I inquired about it and they told me that sure, they offer a military discount but they don’t volunteer that information when people are paying. I must have looked incredulously at that response because immediately it was retorted that people “just have to know about it” and “it’s not like there is a reminder at the register…” Since they would not refund me for the discount I suggested they credit the discount I didn’t get to a future project. Seems reasonable right? Nope, guess not. Sigh. Well, we won’t be back, but they don’t seem to need our business. Anyway, if you do end up going make sure you ask what the prices are before starting and don’t forget to ask for the military discount, because they certainly won’t remind...
Read moreThis place is amazing! I was trying to find a pottery studio near me (Yorktown) and this was the ONLY one that didn’t have ridiculous studio fees, open until later, and reasonable prices. I called here a week ago and asked what their availability was when they informed me that I should call the day I’m interested in coming in, so I decided to take the change, and called this Friday.
The lady I spoke to on the phone was SO NICE, and she told me she could reserve a table for eight a few hours prior. Upon arrival, we were given a mini lesson about proper painting techniques and then picked out our pieces!
My whole group had a blast and I didn’t end up spending an awful amount! They also have a 5% military discount which is super nice!
Furthermore, the staff is AMAZING! They are helpful, kind, and genuine people.
Overall, great place to host a small group of people without paying crazy prices (as it is an all inclusive studio meaning the price you see on the bottom of the pottery piece is the price you’ll pay).
The also offer resin art, glass art, and canvas painting.
I will definitely be coming back to this place and would recommend it for a great date night or an amazing place to take...
Read moreI love this studio! The staff here are friendly and supportive with helpful tips and suggestions for every project and skill level. I have been here with my dad, my best friend, and by myself and each time I have been greeted with a smiling face and an ample selection of pottery projects and crafts to choose from. They offer classes and special events with cool subjects and materials (I've been dying to try a class), and they let you bring in your own items to fuse with their supplies if you're trying to make something really personal (I brought in my own shells to make a personalized resin piece). While I love spending solo afternoons here on the patio I would also certainly recommend it for small parties for the young to young at heart. This is a really neat space to make some...
