I was very surprised to have one of the worst experiences at a restaurant where we are regulars. My husband ordered the 8 oz steak ($44) undercooked, but ok. I ordered the Cobia ($32), it was fishy, mealy, and truly terrible and the sides were cold. I sent my fish back and ordered the salmon. The presentation was of the salmon was very unappetizing; the little piece of salmon came out on a small bread plate. We noticed a new 20% service fee added to our check, and it gratuity now added to every check. (We think we left double tip last time or two we were there). On the bill we were still charged for the Cobia ($32) so we asked for it to be adjusted to reflect the salmon. The waitress was unsure, so she sent the manager over. The manager adjusted the bill and was snarky when she said, "I hope that's better". When we looked the bill went up! We called her back to ask why it was more, she said that the server didn't add in a drink. I was astonished that there was no appology for the terrible fish, especially since she is the owner! When we asked about the upcharge of the salmon of at $30, which is listed at $28 on their website, she said the salmon was now $30. She asked if she should remove the drink and we said no because we are fine paying what we owe. We placed $140 cash for the bill and the waitress came back we were shorted $10!! She appologized. She made different change and shorted us again! Honestly, this was not about the money, but the lack of attention to their food they are serving, the lack of customer service, the 20% gratuity that the hostess or waitress should announce when seated. Sadly, we will be very hesitant to go back. It was not a pleasant experience, especially at a higher priced restaurant.

Read moreMy husband and I popped in here for an impromptu dinner date after running errands. For an appetizer, we ordered a charcuterie board which had uneven proportions of the selections — there was more hot honey than anything else. My husband ordered an espresso martini which was subpar. I also ordered a grilled Caesar salad which was probably the best thing I ate here.
The service prior to receiving our dinner entrees was decent. Once we received our entrees everything went downhill. My husband and I ordered the same dish — steak with house sides. My husband thought the food was okay, I did not. In my opinion, the steak and root vegetables were grossly under seasoned and the potatoes were hard and almost tasteless. We relayed my thoughts on the food to the server, we were told that the chef tasted the food FROM MY PLATE and said it was prepared how it normally was and that my food could not be removed from our bill. The server asked if I’d like to take the food that I did not like and that the chef ATE OFF OF to go. Of course that was a hard no, so we asked again if we could have something else prepared since we had to pay for the food anyway. The server went to ask the chef, whom loudly and rudely exclaimed, “We don’t have time for that, just refund them for their food”. We found this unprofessional and ridiculous considering the restaurant was nearly empty. After the server came back to let us know that the food would be removed, her entire mood changed.
The chef is rude and obviously not well versed in how to properly season meat and root vegetables. The customer service here is very poor, considering we ordered several items and did not have any issues with anything we actually liked. Additionally, the food I didn’t like had three bites taken from it — no one was trying to get over. What a strange and...
Read more3.9⭐️ My husband wined and dined me! We decided on fin last minute, and when we got there we also decided on the 7 course tasting menu last minute. I am not a fancy person at all, but this was nice! One thing I’m not used to, the waiter giving new utensils for every plate! I was like “oooo this is fancy! The service was awesome! I cannot say anything bad about the service. The food… was either hit or miss, let me explain. Course 1- Tuna Tartare, it was so good! The sriracha ice cream was great with it. Course 2- Shrimp and grits, it’s was … pretty sweet. I didn’t think it was bad, I enjoyed it. My husband said it tasted like pancake syrup 🤣 so he wasn’t a big fan. Course 3- Crab cake, damn was this good! If I was to go back, I would order the crab cakes. Course 4- Grilled Octopus, no 🙅🏾♀️ not a fan. It was pretty chewy, and the black beans it came with were so hard, we were confused on if they cooked the beans or not. I just moved them to the side and didn’t eat them. Course 5- Scallops, not bad. I’m not a big fan of scallops, but both tasting menus had them so I couldn’t avoid them. Course 6- Australian Wagyu Ribeye Cap, this was very good! The steaks was cooked perfectly, just yes. Course 7- Chocolate cake with cherry ice cream, SUCH A GOOD ENDING! I’ve never had cherry ice cream but I loved it! Overall I’m glad we got the 7 course, and not the 5. The food wasn’t bad, but I now I feel like I’ve tried everything I want to try from here, and it’s a more expensive meal. So did I enjoy my meal? Yes, me and my husband had a great date night. We didn’t enjoy each course, but the experience was a good one. Would we go back? Probably not. But I would recommend the restaurant if you’re...
