Aux Delices- Port Warwick — Restaurant in Virginia

As soon as I got in the establishment, I was in awe of the beautiful decor all around the small shop. It’s like you’ve been transported to an actual little cafe in Paris, France during a winter wonderland. There were beautiful white Christmas trees just a sparkling, comfortable cafe chairs and couches, and not to mention a CHANDELIER IN THE BATHROOM!!! Where else you going to see something like that?? Especially in Newport News! Please!

Once I got to the counter my Jack front greeted me with a smile and recommended the top options. He gave me a sample of the Rochambeau as he said it was his favorite and let me say….it did not disappoint. I was taken on flavor trip to heaven and back and back again.

He even gave me a sample of their cookies and cream ice cream which was equally delicious. And I’m not lying when I say that it was the best Oreo ice cream I’ve ever had. They said that they make all their ice cream in house and IT SHOWS!! The quality here is unmatched.

The crepe was phenomenal, Ice cream exquisite, service on point. I’m not even a sweet tooth kind of guy but I would recommend this place to anyone who has taste buds and wants to enjoy a serene ambiance.

If you haven’t been here already then I don’t what you were waiting for. Part of my birthday is well spent and it’s because I came here. Thank you “Aux Delices” and more specifically Jack, Riley, and Patricia for making the place what it is. 😊😊

This is my second visit to this desert shop. They have high quality crepes, Belgian Waffles and icecream from a local creamery. All their food is excellent and the service is outstanding.

First time was great but only had a simple lemon crepe to go midday.. This time I went with my boyfriend Saturday at 10pm and stayed to soak up the atmosphere. We relaxed with fancy crepes, icecream and fresh coffee.

Aux Delices is a rare slice of Europe that puts American chain restaurants to shame. Our deserts depended on quality flavor rather than a ton of sugar. The shop is cute, intimate and romantic. The adult menu and crowd comes with a higher pricetag. Cost is worth it for an adult desert outing especially if your on a date. Unless you've got a generous budget, take the kids to a cheaper place. The subtlety of the flavors, music and decor would be wasted on most kids.

When we visited there was a newborn in a baby carriage that slept while his parents had a treat. Our visit made a welcome change from icecream chains where some parents let their kids crowd you at the service counter. This is a quality desert venue with a staff proud of their product.

At Aux Delices I was allowed to ask questions and sample icecream flavors without being feeling pressured to rush by pushy kids and stressed parents. It was 10pm and kids may be there earlier in the evening. Plenty of outdoor seating available...

I came to this location about 30 minutes before it opened. I was greeted by Riley and he explained the store hours and what items they sold. I came back in about an hour and ordered. I was surprised to find that Riley was actually suggesting an ice cream to go with the crepes. I didn't choose his due to not liking coffee ice cream. I did choose the honey lavender ice cream. This was an excellent choice. The three staff members were working. They were to greet the customers and offered them samples of the ice cream. Riley was knowledgeable about where the ice cream was made and had interest of a new flavor , ginger and lemon. I watched Sidney and Riley constantly cleaning up the the customer tables as well as the bottles and equipment that they used to prepare the food items. The third staff member was mostly doing work in the back. I believe that every company looks for a staff that this owner has snagged out of the labor pool. After eating a waffle and a crepe with honey lavender ice cream, I when sampled the ginger ice cream. I then bought a pint of honey lavender and a pint of ginger ice cream to eat at home later. My spend per person was higher than normal due to trying a couple of items and buying two pints of ice cream to take home. I highly recommend this...
