We purchased our king size bed frame almost 2 months ago, I intentionally waited to write my review until after delivery. That is where I read the issue was, not with the furniture quality or price but with the delivery. The reviews I read all stated the bed was nice, and the delivery people refused to take it upstairs, so I was fully prepared when thats exactly how it played out. The sales lady that helped us was nice, but she is a salesperson and her job is to sell however possible. I read many reviews about the location, and the furniture before we even went to the store to look at the piece in person. So I inquired with her upon our arrival at the store about these reviews that all said the same thing, delivery people will not take it upstairs. She assured me that was not the case, that they would most definitely get it upstairs. She even went and asked the "manager" and he supposedly told her the same thing, they had had no issues with delivery of this piece.
Upon arrival at our home the delivery guy came in and immediately said "it won't fit, there's no way, we do this all the time" and basically just wanted to argue with me and my husband. But then he said they would try. So they "tried" if you call it that and claimed there was no way it would fit, mind you we had a king size bed to begin with, plus we measured we knew it would fit. My husband asked if he could help "no that will void the warranty" he asked if he could give some direction "it will void the warranty" was all we kept hearing. So I told them thats fine set it in the front room, take the rails and the end piece upstairs we will get the headboard upstairs. Before they could pull out the drive way I had help for my husband and they had it up the stairs before the delivery guys made it off our road. My husband and a 19 year old kid could do it but not 3 grown men. Can't never could is what I always tell my kids, if you go in with the I can't mind set of course you can't.
I did call the store and complain because I wanted my delivery fee back, you failed to deliver and set it up as I had paid for, they did issue a refund and apologized for the inconvenience. I also received a phone call from the area somebody manager who again said it would be refunded and he wanted picture proof that it was in fact upstairs assembled in our room so he could "coach" his drivers. I gladly sent him pictures. I also mentioned in my delivery survey that I believed these men to be under the influence of something, the chemical paint like fumes that were on them were so strong I had to open the windows to not...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking for a sleeper sofa. Haverty’s had the best selection we could find and we finally found a sleeper sofa that felt comfortable and fit our needs. Verbally we were told it would be delivered in two weeks but we were told that things do come up and it may take more time. That was three months ago. The delivery keeps getting pushed back every 15 days or so. I have called several times and am repeatedly told it is the vendor that is delaying our sofa. I get that, but that leads me to more unanswered questions. I’m willing to wait if I can get a realistic delivery date. However they keep kicking the can down the road. I ask to speak to a manager and have yet to be transferred to anyone who can give me more than an apology and say it is out of our control. I would have been satisfied if they told me they would reach out to their vendor and simply ask for a realistic update and explanation for the delay. But that seems to be an unrealistic expectation. I really wanted the sofa we found but they have been sitting on our $3400 for three months and we have nothing to show for it including a realistic date for delivery. I am hoping they are easy to deal with in canceling our order and getting our money back. It is a shame because we really liked that...

Update: Unfortunately a kit that was needed in order to connect the headboard we purchased to the bed frame we purchased was not communicated or ordered. When the delivery was received the headboard could not be attached. I called the store and the kit was ordered and we picked it up. We intended to attach it ourselves. When we attempted to attach it we found that we could not unscrew the legs on the bed frame. A call to Tempurpedic confirmed they can be unscrewed however they had been over tightened. Two calls to the store over two days and though we have been told a technician will be scheduled to come take care of the problem, a day/time still hasn’t been communicated to us. We just had our furniture from our previous home delivered and there are boxes everywhere. The mattress and bed frame are still on their side as we are elderly and don’t want to put it back down, remake the bed only to unmake it again. This all has been communicated to Havertys yet the manager hasn’t bothered to call. We were told he would be calling customer service this afternoon to have a technician scheduled yet we still haven’t received an update....
