The 4-star is for the wonderful customer service from Mr. Oneal. My friend and I purchased the sausage sandwich, collard green wrap, and the Rasta pasta. I did enjoy the sausage sandwich, but will not be able to purchase it in the future because of the vinegar in the biscuit. The collard green wrap was good, but there was more of the collard green wrap than the filling and I did not receive the side of apples. My friend tried the Rasta pasta. If the pasta was made from a whole grain, I would have purchased it as well. I look forward to seeing menu expand and some warm dishes offered. We also enjoyed looking around the Health food store. I would classify this place as a retail store and takeout place. There was only one table to sit down at. We ordered the burger and chili. The food was brought out to us in a plastic bag and set on the table. There were no plates and no spoons to eat the chili. The chili was in a plastic pint container, and the burger was wrapped in foil. The chili came out of a glass front cooler and was brought to the back. It was probably microwaved in the same plastic container. I will say the food was good though. But the Vegan Kartel has alot to learn about food service. I’ve been coming here for herbs, drinks and food for a couple years. The owners are so sweet and knowledgeable. The food is always flavorful. There’s a hibiscus lavender tea that is just perfect.
