Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Virginia

First of all, I would patronize this location very often, as I work close by . Today, I placed an online order for an avacolada . When I reached my car, my avacolada tasted like watermelon. I called and spoke with a manager who advised me to bring it back.... I came in after work with a full cup ...... He (the owner) opens up the top and begins to argue with me about it. There's no watermelon in there. I know what I taste and see. He begins to try and debate with me about what I taste. Can you believe that? I couldn't. I was totally shocked by his customer service, He (the owner)was unpleasant and made me feel uncomfortable debating on how there's no watermelon..... I stated I did not come to argue. A replacement was made with chunks of ic in it and needless to say it was thrown out Avacolada's are one of the higher priced smoothies and this was definitely made with disdain. ....I love Avacolada's. I will always order never from this location. ...

I was traveling , this location was near this location. I ordered my favorite smoothie I always order and the wrap I always order. I was very disappointed when I received my smoothie, it was much lighter than normal and did not taste correctly. I mentioned that I thought the smoothie was wrong, when I was handed my wrap. The person asked what I thought was wrong with it I stated it tasted mostly of orange no lime and like they used too much ice. She remade it but when I received the new one it was still light colored and still tasted strong of orange, I felt my drink tasted more like the Sunrise smoothie and not the Blimey Limey. I figured if still wasn't correct, I would just have to deal with it. Then came my wrap.... I ordered the Baja chicken, it tasted like buffalo chicken hot sauce. Just overall disappointed. If I wasn't travel, I would have gone back....

I would not recommend this location to no one. From reading the reviews here, they are doing an awful job. But what took me, how do you NOT accept your own tropical smoothie cafe gift card. As hard as times are right now, it's truly a blessing when someone gives you money via gift card. I should've just left the food there & walked off but I was on a limited lunch with no time to take my business elsewhere. But you best believe I will NEVER spend another dime here and music in the park starts up next week &I would order from here whenever I was attending but NOT going to happen this year. I wonder do the corporate headquarters know you do NOT accept your own gift cards, I'm going to...
