(Long review ahead) I’ve eaten here in the NN location a few times but it’s been several years. I had good experiences in the past but TODAY??? I absolutely will not return after the experience I had today. I expected it to be somewhat busy being that today is Thanksgiving weekend but it wasn’t super crowded.
I came in and wasn’t sure if I was supposed to wait to be seated or seat myself. I waited a few minutes and saw a couple of the waitstaff but no one acknowledged me/said “hello” or told me to sit anywhere or anything. I waited another minute or 2 and just sat myself. I sat at my table about 7-8 minutes (not quite 10 but long enough) before someone even acknowledged my presence (several waitstaff/workers walked past me MANY times. The woman asked if I’d been helped to which i replied “no” and she gave me a menu and took my drink order. She brought my drink out and I sat at my table roughly 10-15 minutes. SEVERAL of the waitstaff walked past me without ever stopping to take my order (the middle section of the restaurant is a rectangle so they’d come out the back and circle around to check on customers and would walk right past me but helped other customers who came after me). I finally stopped a young lady and told her my order hadn’t been taken and she was kind and polite and took my order/checked on me/refilled my drink/etc. However, I should NOT have had to stop someone when they saw me sitting me there; I’m not invisible. ALSO, I watched new customers come in after me and be greeted and waited on almost immediately while I had to flag someone down. Interesting enough, they had no problem promptly clearing my empty plates as i finished so they could have been JUST as prompt taking my order.
I was very disappointed with how I was treated as a paying customer. I wouldn’t have left a tip if the waitress hadn’t been so nice. I didn’t get her name but she was very slim and had on a red Christmas sweater. Thank you young lady 🙂 she’s the reason I’m giving 2 stars; otherwise...
Read moreI went there the day after Christmas. I knew it was going to be busy with the possibility of slow service. That was the biggest understatement of the year. Not only was the service slow but the servers were not doing table checks. Certain tables received more service than others. We got there around 1:10 pm Sunday afternoon just after the church rush. No one was there to let us know where to sit. We didn't receive menus or silverware until after fifteen minutes of sitting while at the same time trying to get a waiter. After twenty minutes we received drinks which were water, and silverware. The menu was priced fairly but the descriptions of the menu items were lacking detail. For example my boyfriend ordered the chicken parm. Naturally we assumed that it would be two pieces of breaded and fried chicken breasts topped with sauce, over a plate of angel hair or spaghetti noodles with melted cheese on top. Our food came out after an hour of us sitting there. During that time, we were never given hints that the food was on its way. We had to guess the whole way. Finally when it arrived, his meal included the following: penne noodles, with cut up bite size pieces of fried chicken, topped with sauce and melted mozzarella. The garlic bread that was provided was flavorless and burnt. I ordered a Philly cheese calzone it was flavorless. The ricotta to mozzarella ratio was off. There was little to no steak on my calzone. Along with that the ingredients were burnt. For a place that was 4.3 stars out of five I was really disappointed by the whole experience. 😔 I wouldn't recommend that anyone comes...
Read moreI truly don’t mean to be this person…but the lack of service and food in NN is horrible. I ordered a pizza and it barely came with chicken, which I found extremely odd that some pieces didn’t have any chicken on it…so, I asked for extra and they didn’t even add it on!! Just put it back in the oven….If you don’t want to add it on, say it’ll be an up charge if you don’t want to take care of your customers.
I only ate one slice because it was awful…then the bartender hands me my check and doesn’t even take off the pizza I didn’t eat. The fact she was going to charge me, made me a little upset, as she clearly didn’t want to accommodate..her response was “the pizza comes that way when I order it.” Like, okay. It doesn’t mean it’s right or should be served like that.
I did apologize to the bartender for how I came across. But come on…as a server/bartender myself, you’re supposed to go above and beyond. It truly isn’t hard to make customers happy….plus, Acting like you care goes a really long way and will make the experience better…most WILL come back.
In my photos, I’ve attached what it looked like and what it came out as after asking for extra chicken. Clearly they didn’t add it and it was only cooked longer where the gluten free crust was overly crispy….really disappointed with the service and food here and I’ll never...
