I recently embarked on a thrilling 4-day, 3-night camping excursion to Utah with Camp Yoshi, and I can't express enough how incredible the experience was. From start to finish, our trip was nothing short of perfection. The logistics of the trip were impeccable. Every detail was meticulously planned, ensuring a seamless and stress-free adventure. Camp Yoshi truly lives up to their slogan: "Morale is High," because throughout the journey, our spirits were soaring. What truly sets Camp Yoshi apart, however, is the outstanding hospitality of Rashad and Ron. They were phenomenal hosts, always going above and beyond to make our trip memorable. Their warm and welcoming nature made us feel like a part of their extended family. Now, let's talk about the food - it was nothing short of amazing! Delicious, hearty meals that fueled our adventures and left us craving for more. We were pleasantly surprised by the culinary delights prepared for us in the great outdoors. The itinerary was a perfect blend of fun, relaxation, and breathtaking views. Whether it was hiking through stunning landscapes, unwinding by the campfire, or simply taking in the awe-inspiring vistas, every moment was a cherished memory. The views were so stunning that they were "screensaver" worthy, and no photograph can truly capture the sheer beauty of the Utah wilderness. I can't recommend Camp Yoshi's Utah adventure enough. It was a trip of a lifetime, made possible by exceptional hosts, top-notch logistics, delicious food, and unforgettable experiences. Camp Yoshi truly knows how to make morale high, and my friends and I are still reminiscing about our incredible journey. Thank you, Camp Yoshi, for an unforgettable adventure!

My recent experience with Camp Yoshi was nothing short of transformative. I joined a group of 15 solo travelers, all strangers at the start, and over the course of a rain-soaked weekend, we formed a true sense of community—fostered by the intentional leadership of Camp Yoshi’s founders and dedicated guides. Despite the unrelenting rain, we hiked scenic Oregon trails, shared vulnerable and inspiring conversations, and enjoyed chef-curated meals that nourished both body and spirit. Around the campfire, something profound happened—we slowed down, we connected, and we remembered what it means to be present. Camp Yoshi goes far beyond a typical outdoor excursion. It is a deeply thoughtful, well-orchestrated journey into nature, culture, and self-discovery. I left not only with new friendships but with a renewed sense of purpose and connection. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone seeking meaningful adventure, restoration, and community.

Camp Yoshi is everything you could want in a mystical, beautiful, eye opening adventure! So much fun to be bouncing off-road in Jeeps as we perched atop cliffs or hiked down to ancient sites. The team is incredibly caring and observant, always there to offer you something before you understood you wanted it. The trip lead, Sinuhe Xavier, had 30 years of exploring canyonlands with an eye towards aesthetics and deep knowledge of the ecosystems. The professional photographers make sure you leave with amazing pictures. As a pescatarian, the chef cheerfully and creatively made sure my meals were given the same amount of love and attention as everyone else. I was able to trail run and one of the team members was kind enough to lead yoga while the other let me DJ for hours as she drove - pure magic!! Don't hesitate, this is excellence in action!

If you’re like me, and come to the google reviews to help answer some questions when considering options, I’ll try to address a few here.

Okay context: I’ve been camping since I was about 6 years old, so I thought I knew what to expect from an outdoor adventure. I attended Camp Yoshi’s Moab trip in October, which I gifted to myself and my best friend as a graduation celebration and it completely redefined what camping could be. This wasn’t just a trip—it was an unforgettable experience that blended adventure, connection, and personal growth in ways I’d never imagined.

Why not plan the trip yourself? I asked myself the same question before booking. But after experiencing Camp Yoshi’s Moab adventure, I can confidently say this is not something you can replicate on your own. The hidden trails, breathtaking landscapes, and exclusive access to lesser-known areas made me feel like I was stepping into another world. Rashad & Ron set a WHOLE VIBE—from delicious food, excellent music, to conversation, to small touches that let me truly disconnect from the demands of city life and reconnect with myself. AND the guides’ expertise ensured every moment was seamless, allowing me to focus on the experience instead of logistics.

Is it worth the cost? Absolutely, every detail was designed to foster connection and personal growth. The tools I gained to align mind, body, and spirit have been life-changing, and the sense of community built with fellow campers is something money can’t easily buy. To be quiet honest, I’d be willing to pay more. How do you even put a price on authentic fellowship in breathtaking environments?

Do I need to be an experienced camper to enjoy this?” Not at all. While I’ve been camping since I was 6, many of my fellow campers were experiencing something like this for the first time. Camp Yoshi takes care of every detail—from food to gear—so all you need to do is show up ready to embrace the adventure. The guides ensure everyone feels comfortable, whether you’re a seasoned camper or completely new to the outdoors.

“Will I feel out of place if I’m going alone or don’t know anyone?” Not at all. I went with my best friend, but I saw how quickly bonds formed between everyone on the trip. The small group dynamic fosters an incredible sense of community and belonging. Through shared experiences like campfire conversations and exploring Moab’s hidden trails, you’ll leave with new friendships that feel like family.

Is the physical activity too intense? The activities are designed to be accessible for a range of fitness levels. Whether it was hiking, breathwork, or exploring by Jeep, the guides provided support and adjustments to ensure everyone could participate comfortably. The focus isn’t on pushing physical limits—it’s on connecting with the environment and yourself in a way that feels right for you.

Is it worth traveling for this experience? Without a doubt. Moab’s stunning red rocks and starry skies are unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The combination of Camp Yoshi’s expert planning and the breathtaking beauty of the region made every mile of travel worthwhile. It’s not just about the destination—it’s about the transformation that happens when you’re fully immersed in such a remarkable place.

Is this experience right for me? If you’re looking to reconnect with yourself, create space for self, and explore stunning, untouched landscapes, this trip is for you. The small group dynamic created an environment of trust and belonging, allowing us to delve into meaningful conversations about life, purpose, and healing—which is rare yet needed among men, in particular. The guides, who are both skilled facilitators and compassionate listeners, made sure I felt supported every step of the way.

If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into nature to find yourself, your path, and your community, Camp Yoshi is the answer.

Only one question remains: Why wait to start that journey? This was the adventure of a lifetime, and I can’t...

I’ve followed Camp Yoshi since it’s beginnings and held in my excitement for a whole year before being able to attend in October 2021. By far one of the most inspirational experiences I’ve ever had the opportunity to participate in. As a person who has grown up and lived in cities across the Northeast, being able to engage with the outdoors, nature, and my community in a way I had not since I was a child was the awakening I had not known I needed. The greatest strength of Camp Yoshi lays in its mission. They have found a way to bring people of color (back) outdoors and into the world with means that feel explorative and adventurous but also familiar enough to provide physical, mental, and spiritual comfort for the novices and more casual camp members.

And that is just the exploration. The food was ALWAYS amazing. The conversations and fellowship brought strangers together to become family in short order. And the vast bed were always high! I constantly recommend to anyone within earshot. Can not wait to attend again and share the experience with my friends and family -...
