I've been working with a service to help me get ready for dating again (after a divorce) and the gal I'm working with took me to Twill for a big shopping session. It had been at least six years since I'd invested in any kind of aesthetic or stylish clothing, and I was in desperate need of an overhaul. Plus, my body had changed a lot during the pandemic, and I was pretty nervous about trying to shop in-store. I expected it would be really tough to find stuff in my size that I liked, because that's been my experience lately.

Enter Audra and Twill. Holy smokes, where do I even start. Audra was SO kind and helpful - she challenged me just enough to push me to try different things, and I found SO MUCH great stuff. I was actually in the position of needing to whittle down from the "yes" pile of clothes, because I only had a budget of about $800. I could have easily spent more. Twill has such a fantastic selection of whimsical and fun items - it was perfect for me. I'd been dreading going to a more mainstream store and hating almost everything, because I'm an offbeat kind of person. But Audra and Twill really delivered.

It'll be a little bit before I've got money set aside to shop for clothes again, but you can bet your ass that when next I need anything elevated or aesthetic, I will definitely be going to Twill first.

Twill is an absolute gem and my favorite shop. This shop scratches my stubborn need for something that fits my body well and is aesthetically interesting, while being of good quality. And it isn’t just me— literally every time I’m walking around with pieces from Twill, I get many compliments on those specific pieces.

I should also add that I love that I can actually afford to look and feel good because of this shop. I’m currently in the process of investing in myself by replacing my old tattered wardrobe (motherhood = yikes), so this means a lot to me as I’m making it a priority to stop into the shop every month or two to flesh my wardrobe back out.

Besides loving the inventory (which seems to frequently have something new), one of the main reasons I keep going back is my experiences are always super positive. The owner is a clothing wizard. She seems to intuit exactly what will work for me and with 100% accuracy brings me items in my size. I don’t always feel super confident about what I want or what looks good, so I am super grateful to Audra for understanding what I want, what looks good, and having impeccable taste. Just had the most wonderful experience here! I was panic-replacing a bridesmaid outfit that got lost in the mail and the two wonderful employees here took my parameters and pulled everything they could find, then gassed me the hell up as I tried things on and made me feel so confident and cared about! Found the perfect jumpsuit and I really appreciated their kindness. Everything in this shop is well-made, super reasonably priced, and as a queer woman I felt super safe, supported, and welcome.
