Multnomah County Library - Kenton — Attraction in Portland

Normally love this library but received horrible customer service today. Not sure if the man who helped me has never been taught manners but was probably double my age. I’ve worked in the service industry for 7 years and I have never been that rude to anyone, even when they said horrible things to my face. I just had a huge invasive surgery two days prior and mostly stuck at home while healing so I wanted to get some reading literature to help pass the time. This library is in my neighborhood, only a 5 minute walk, but now I don’t think I will return if this gentleman still works there. So so...

Came in here yesterday with my 6 year old. The guy with the blonde hair and glasses was acting like he did not want to help me. Gave me an annoyed face when I asked him where a specific genre was. Also seemed annoyed when I went up to him again to check out our books. Please hire people who enjoy customer service. You should not be annoyed while working at a library full of students, children, and adults who want to come up here to relax and or expand our knowledge. Next time I will...

It's a small library, but it's a good one! It's pretty clean, and very quiet. Staff has been helpful and kind toward me. Once you step inside, you can basically see all the shelves, there isn't much to the building. Therefore, it's not surprising that there isn't a huge collection; however, they still have worthwhile finds here and you can place books on hold. Convenient location and I'll keep...
