Pretty great park, in my opinion. My girlfriend and I love seeing, and interacting, with all of the dogs running around. We also love going to watch the softball and mushball games. We don't mind the RVs being there, when they are. It's definitely people of all groups, leaving their trash, and not picking up after themselves. Unfortunately, there's going to be nasty/poorly raised people wherever you go.. I suppose our only complaint, is the fact that there is hardly ever a place to go to the restroom. Atm, they're doing construction at part of the park, and for some reason, the block the actual bathrooms off, so they can't be used. They do have two PORTAPOTTIES; however, one is strictly for the construction workers, only (it's locked in the fence, with the bathrooms). The other one, is 9/10 always disgusting, and at least partially covered in feces. And no, it is NOT just the homeless/less fortunate that makes it that way. Even if it is the portapotty company that is responsible for keeping it clean, not the park's, they could at least have routine checks to see if it needs servicing. Especially because without it, there is absolutely no where for anybody to use...

Although the bathrooms are locked most of the time, apparently due to some folks taking up shifts of residency inside, the other fixtures, like the summertime water fountains that attract a bubbly buzz of local youngsters, are well kept and clean, and the lawns are adequately cut and kept free of debris from the many beautiful old growth trees that provide wonderful shade during the sunny months, and natural rain shelters during the long rainy season in Portland.
Most times, besides the many youths burning up the seemingly endless supply of...
Read moreNice, open green space in the city. Rather muddy in the wetter months, but there is a new play area for kids that is no longer muddy and has a bouncy matting for cushioning if someone falls.. Dog friendly park, but not up on the playground equipment play area. 2 softball fields. There are 2 restrooms and a water fountain. Currently neither are available. The park could use more lighting at night. There are several garbage cans to make it easy for people to dispose of their garbage, but it seems like a few more wouldnt hurt. This park has a lot of potential. The extreme muddiness and lack of designated dog area are things I would love to see resolved. It's a park to be enjoyed by all people and their kids...
