I was visiting Providence for the weekend with a friend. We were taking pictures of this beautiful historic church when we were energetically invited inside for a tour by a church member. He told us all about the history of the building and even took us up into the clock tower! It had left such a great impression on us that we decided to come to the Sunday Service on the following day.
The service was surprisingly crowded and had a very warm and traditional nature. The music was extremely professionally done, and the minister was very welcoming in his message. After the service, many people stopped to chat with us and introduce themselves. I had never been to a Unitarian Church before and liked some of the philosophies I heard about while visiting. I especially liked the reiterated focus on coming together as one, despite our differences. There also appeared to be a lot of different activities going on and things to get involved with at this church. I would definitely recommend checking it out. If anything, visit the building for it's fine example of preserved early nineteenth century architecture...

Read moreI rode by this "church" and spotted and conversed with a few members as I had questions what it was about. Politics or Christianity? After a few minutes I was told that they are not a christain church. They don't believe in the bible and they just mashed together all religions and the "sermons" were just motivation speeches. Real christains..who really believe scripture.. and truly believe the word of God and seek salvation should stay away...
