Hunt's Photo & Video — Attraction in Providence

The staff is very friendly here. They always immediately ask if they can help you find anything specific and are willing to let you test out equipment in store to get a feel for what you are buying. The prices on cameras and lenses are pretty standard, but the accessories are priced a bit higher. That being said, the owner has notified me of a price match guarantee where he will match any online price for any item. Pretty impressive really as I know it's difficult for smaller stores to keep up with larger online retailers.

My only complaint is the stocking. The website will say in stock, but that is based off their main location so make sure you call before you make the trip if you're looking for something specific as they may not have it in store. It's happened to me three times now with a lens, macro focusing rail, and a tripod. I research to decide which item I want before purchasing, but then they end up trying to sell me something else because they don't have it in stock and I end up unsatisfied with the purchase. They offer to ship from their other stores and it only takes 1-2 days, but it's still a bit frustrating. I'll call in the future to avoid the frustration though. This is a pretty minor complaint really.

Hunt's Photo and Video is by far the greatest camera store ever! They have a great inventory and very fair prices. The staff are hands down the most friendly and helpful of any store I have ever been in. They go out of their way from the moment you walk in to make sure that you will be happy when you walk out. When my Canon printer that I had brought from Hunt's broke, they talked me through possible issues and gave me a Canon operator number to call and try to fix it. When this failed to work, I brought the test print back to the store, and explained the problem that I was experiencing. By the end of the day, they had given me a new printer and ink to replace the old one, even though it was out of warranty. This is next level customer service that you will not find in any other store.
