Wow!! Short review: Amazing. Some of the best ever. Try it out.

More helpful review: I was craving tacos. I know, I know, this is something I crave pretty much every day. But, I've been meaning to check this place out and I'm so happy I did. Upon walking in, it didn't come across to me as a place that had the best tacos ever... There were a few kids running around, children of the owners, and it almost felt like I was at somebody's home.

I needed a few minutes to figure out what I wanted to order, and I asked the employee a few questions, before I made up my mind. I ended up ordering the QUESO TACO DE BIRRIA, with an Horchata. (I'm always trying to find a place that has great horchata. And I typically struggle.)

After giving me my order, which only took a few minutes, they reminded me that I have some salsa options available at the salsa bar, and to be sure to check them out. ... There were three salsa options, a green one, and two red ones. The green salsa was great, one of the red salsas was way too spicy, the other red salsa was pretty good.

The horchata though, when I first tried it, was pretty difficult. All the cinnamon was at the bottom, and I had to cough a few times. After I stirred up my horchata mix, by shaking my glass, it was remarkable. Seriously some of the best I've ever had.

The food was remarkable. After I finished it, I was full. But even though I was full, I was craving to have more. This place has to be one of my new favorites. And I urge everyone to...

Went and tried a restaurant recommended by @seejaydeja tonight for dinner. Went and checked out Rio Sonora. I ordered the queso birria taco, asada taco, fish taco, consume, hot dog sonora style, and a coke. My roommate Keane got the fish taco, hot dog sonora style, and a horchata and coke. Why two drinks? I'll explain in a bit.

The asada taco had really well seasoned beef and not much different than most places. It did cost slightly more than most so I was expecting a little bit more. The fish taco was tiny for both of us. It was tender, but also expected at least a bigger piece of fish for what I paid. The birria taco was alright. The shredded beef was tender and flavorful. The 8 oz consume was an extra charge. The hot dog sonora style, well, I was definitely expecting a lot more for what we paid. The bread felt like it would full apart snd disintegrate and it was the smallest hot dog I've had. So it is supposed to be wrapped in bacon, grilled onions, chopped tomatoes, with guacamole and mayo. So we tried the horchata and it was so watered down. It barely had any flavor. At least the coke with cane sugar was guaranteed to be good. Both drinks are $3 each.

This was worth the try, but I expected a lot more for what I paid for.

I picked up some Krispy Kreme and decided I wanted some tacos and discovered this food truck. It was delicious! I tried the carne asada tacos and birria tacos. I wish the menu said specifically what each item was, because even though they were both tacos they were pretty different. The carne asada came on a flour tortilla with cabbage, tomatoes, a spoonful guacamole, and onions (I can't remember if there was cilantro or not). The birria had cheese melted in with the meat with two corn tortillas and had onions and cilantro on top. They were both amazing, but I personally preferred the birria because of the corn tortillas. I've had birria tacos from Red Tacos, but I think I prefer these ones more just because they have more flavor going on or maybe it was because of their salsa. Their salsa is pretty good. I was only give salsa verde but when I asked if they had other kinds they also had a roja that they said was very spicy. It was very spicy, but I love spicy so it was perfect! I will definitely come here again! My husband got the carne asada burrito and we really weren't impressed, the carne asada tastes great but the burrito only had meat and cabbage so he was pretty disappointed because he hates vegetables and loves cheese. I don't think the burrito was worth the $10...

I loved the food here, the portions were much more generous than I normally expect and full of flavor. I had 2 each of the fish and asada tacos. The fish was battered and fried perfectly and retained its moisture on the inside, while the steak was tender and juicy. I only wish that the batter on the fish was crispier, but I attribute that to the batter getting soggy from the moisture since I did takeout and had it sitting in the takeout box longer than I should've. Nevertheless, the guacamole was generous and all the flavors blended well together. The sauces that they provide on the side also complimented my tacos quite well. I will definitely be coming back again for the "dine in" experience.
