We enjoyed our field trip, but I most likely won’t drive from Colorado Springs again. My daughter loved all of the costumes. She put on a princess dress and played in a castle. We had fun in the bakery (food toys) and the farming area (fruit and vegetable toys). There is also a fun room downstairs where you can use huge blocks to build with. It is 50% or more arts and crafts. There were very fun ones like a fairy wand, truffola trees and Alice in Wonderland tea cup. I did not appreciate that there were several crafts at the same table, it made it confusing. I did love the recycle room where you could make whatever you wanted. I wished they had more STEM activities and less step-by-step crafts. There is a sensory hallway that I found very overwhelming. It’s shouting riddles (not needed for a preschool field trip) and you can barely hear the sounds when you press the squares. It did have fun mirrors...

The staff truly goes above and beyond right now! Compared to other children's museums, I find this one more craft oriented compared to the hands on kinetic exploration I'm used to. It was a fun change. I was pleasantly surprised with how interactive the the staff was, they really helped guide my kids with informational play. This earned them the five-star rating without the helpful staff and only looking at the kinetic hands on things I would have given it around three stars.I would recommend the director reaching out to local businesses to see if anyone would sponsor various kinetic hands on things. Children's museum in salt Lake City did an awesome job of utilizing those resources to make some cool stuff. Without hurting...

Not as big as I expected and kind of expensive $10 for an adult and $8 for kids. Not as many exhibits as I would have hoped. My 2 year old loved it and my 6 year old didn’t love it so much. They do have a random nursing area upstairs by the toys if you need, but it is just a chair and a curtain for privacy.

Edited 2025 : we tried the museum again and we ended up getting a membership when it was half off during a special event. We now go to the museum a lot more and I feel like the membership makes it very worth it. My kids really enjoy the imaginative play with the buildings (grocery store, vet, ice cream shop etc). Every 6 months or so they have a new theme. My kids are 8, 5, and 2 and can play there for...

The only thing I have to say is the misleading information about being told it is free on Sundays. Once I got there the receptionist told me there're only some Sundays that are free and the she pull out a magazine and highlights only 2 Sundays that were free for the rest of the year and after reading those dates it advised half off, pay as you go. Which is NOT FREE at all. So, if you are like me and just don't have 8 dollars per adult and 6 dollars per kid to just spend until they have their 2 to 3 days in a year when its half off (NOT FREE) then this is not the place to go with a family of 5 on a somewhat budget and trying to do something fun and not hurtful to ones finances. Just sharing my opinion.

Wow, can't believe I haven't been here sooner, well worth a day trip to Pueblo for with the kiddos. We lucked out and came on a free day, but it isn't too expensive and a good value. There's lots to do, from building foam or Lego, to exploring the cultures of other kids from around the world (we learned to fold paper cranes and all about anime!) There's a fun art area to make and create for all ages.
