2023: With the lack of great stores like Microcenter, this is my 1st go to pc shop for repairs and even parts. I only go to one other place then CC and that says something about the others. Out of most pc shops and commercial tech stores (like Bestbuy/Geeksquad) you find in arizona this is definitly the place for pc enthusiasts. I've gone here only 4 times but everytime I come here its worth the drive. I live in Camelback and so depending on the time it can be quite the distance. On 1 occasion I took my brother's pc to be repaired here and Dakota finished in 2 days of resolving an issue my other favored location could not solve it in 4. Dakota helped me on a motherboard with bent socket pins that was delicate, he finished within 2.5hrs (for my issue). On the same day he helped me out with a wiring issue for my pc and I was able to reslove it. I believe for the services he provides and the relevant parts he sells currently in stock are fair prices.
2025: A bit late to post this—by a few months—but I want to praise Dakota’s work once again. He fixed an issue I couldn’t resolve myself. My setup is complicated, with a rat’s nest of wiring from various components and brands. Using a full tower Phanteks 719 case only adds to the challenge—it’s a heavy metal beast. Dakota’s speed and skill really stand out; he completed build tasks that would have taken me days.
The first two things he tackled were BIOS optimization and a file migration. I didn’t have the right software or the confidence to transfer my OS and other files to a new, faster NVMe drive. Then he disassembled my PC to install a new motherboard, Aio cooler, and integrate LCD fans with their own hub systems. He even arranged an overnight shipment of a part to make everything work just right.
After that, he did meticulous cable management. I can only imagine the headache, especially since he had to repeat a similar process for my sister’s rig too—though hers is an ATX setup, so slightly easier.
All in all, thanks again to Dakota for his professionalism...
Read moreLast week my desktop PC computer would not boot up. I called The Big Box electronics store I have do all my computer work and discovered they could not take my computer in for repairs until January 16. That was 10 days away. A friend told me about Cactus Computers, and recommended I go there. That was Thursday. I took my computer in and the owner, Dakota, said he would take a look at it and give me a call back later that day. He did call back later that day and told me I had a hard drive problem and offered me three solutions as a fix to my problem. We chose one of those options and he went to work on it.
Now, the scene changes to Friday evening. I'm sitting in front of my PC desktop computer sending out emails left and right like I always do. Yes he had discovered what the problem was, offered me a solution, and had it up and running and returned to me in that short time. That was a 24-hour turnaround.
I will never darken the door of the Big Box store again for any of my computer related repairs. Kudos to Dakota for taking a personal interest in my dilemma and getting my device back to me so quickly.

Read moreI took my laptop to Cactus Computers. I had some work done which i felt cost me more than it should have. They asked me to leave a review. The work done corrected my issues so all was good with that but i was very unhappy with the rather costly charges as VERY LITTLE needed to be done. So i stated all the disgruntled reasons in a previous review. Dakota the owner saw my review & immediately called me to rectify the situation. To say the least I was impressed with the way he handled this. He wanted me to be a satisfied customer and offered to refund my charges in full. I was taken a back as who today gives good customer service or evev cares. After seeing & talking to him my opinion has changed as I would like to say Dakota is a reighteous guy .When a business treats their customers with respect, showing that the customer is more important than the money theyve got my business for life. The money goes away but it's the repeated business that makes a business successful! I would recommend Dakota & his business in a heartbeat....
