I first heard about Heights House when I was assigned a photoshoot of the hotel by Walter Magazine. I was immediately taken with the architecture and interior design. It is a lovingly restored building with all of the modern amenities. In addition to the aesthetics, I loved the enthusiasm with which Sarah and Jeff have brought their dream to life. This past weekend was the first time I had occasion to actually stay at the hotel as a guest with my husband. Although I knew it would be beautiful, it took staying to realize how truly well thought out the hotel is! From arrival through the two days we stayed and through checkout, it was a lovely and relaxing experience. Of note, it is probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in - perfect to help you relax in. All of the staff were welcoming, friendly and clearly there to help with whatever you need. The many lounge spaces give you the sense of staying in a very nice friend's house rather than a hotel. There are lovely little reading nooks and seating throughout the hotel. Our room was well appointed with a comfortable bed, frame tv, controls for the ambient lighting in the room (love this!), temperature control (super important) and a luxurious bathroom. The shower had great water pressure (also super important) and wonderful smelling amenities. The only thing the room lacked was additional comfortable seating aside from the bed though since the hotel has so many lounge areas, it wasn't that important. Espresso bar and continental breakfast were a nice touch. A surprise was the option for on-site massage! Cassandra is a great massage therapist and truly worked out my stiff and achy muscles. I cannot recommend the hotel enough!

I could rave about the Heights House all day! My husband and I recently decided to host a private dinner for our families at the Heights House following our wedding ceremony! We feel so lucky to have had the chance to make memories at this venue! The house itself is stunning, every detail is thoughtful (from the furniture to the glassware). The historic room we stayed in was no different - beautiful and thoughtful. And breakfast was absolutely delicious! I wish we'd stayed two nights; it's a place you really don't want to leave. Beyond the physical space, Donna, the Events Manager, made our evening FABULOUS! You can tell she does her job with such genuine joy and care for those around her, and I loved having the opportunity to plan our wedding dinner with her. She helped me to identify vendors that were a great fit for our intimate event, and guided me through the planning process (despite the very short timeline we had). She was incredibly responsive throughout, which kept me feeling calm leading up to the day. I'm already trying to think of another excuse to host something at this gorgeous venue with the amazing team that works there!

Wow. I mean, WOW! What an absolutely incredible time we had staying here! From the first moment stepping through the door and being greeted by Gracie, to saying our goodbyes to Genesis we were absolutely blown away with our experience. If I were to take a vacation specifically for the accommodations, I would go here. We stayed in room 8 and found it to be extremely cozy and comfortable. We found the location to be very quiet; although trains can occasionally be heard they are not obnoxious. We took advantage of the wine and cheese hour and thought it was a delightful way to enjoy the house outside of our room. Other highlights included: breakfast in bed, the ambiance of the whole house, the rain shower, and the hospitality. The girls at the front desk were so friendly and happy to accommodate a few special requests. They made us feel so welcomed. I could write a literal book on every reason this place is amazing, or you could just see for yourself.

What an amazing experience! From booking online, the communication through emails, checking in, and the entire stay, the entire staff was extremely welcoming and made us feel very special. My wife and I celebrated our 5th anniversary here at the Heights House in Raleigh, NC. Everything was absolutely perfect, and the hotel ordered wine for my wife and I for our reservation at Herons along with a very kind card. Everyone from Mindy checking us in and giving us our tour, the owner making time in her busy day to have a beautiful conversation, and the rest of the staff just being so extremely caring, surely made our entire stay magical. From the bottom of our hearts, we are truly grateful for you allowing us to stay in your hotel, and we look forward to the next visit!!! - Philip and Shelbi

Wonderful stay at the Heights House Hotel this week with my mom for a mother/daughter visit. The hotel is impeccably decorated with whites/blush/creams for a serene atmosphere. The high ceilings and restored interiors bring back the grandeur of the historic mansion from days past but updated in every way. The shower has a rain shower head and a hand shower with plenty of hot water. The beds were comfortable for a peaceful night's rest. The TV is cleverly hidden with a framed Pissarro painting image. The downstairs parlor is relaxing and inviting. The breakfast satisfies and is plenty to hold us until a late lunch. The sparkling water and coffee/tea in demand can be enjoyed any time of day in the three communal rooms on the 1st floor. Thank you for a brilliant stay.
