Covid Update 10/13/2020: They added a side window to the building where you can order without going inside. Kinda like a drive through window but in person. They did add new menu items and they do have ice cream now. Everything else in this review still stands true and this place is still a 5/5 and a must to visit.
This has to be one of the coolest little chocolate factories around. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the chocolate in the air and it smells amazing, it really draws you in.
The chocolate factory does make their own chocolate. You can go in Monday - Friday from 10am to 3pm, and they are actively making chocolate, which you can walk around and see it for yourself. They do offer guided tours for $10, but in my opinion, it's not really worth it as you can just walk around yourself and along the walls they do have information about their chocolate.
This place does have their own Coffee shop. The coffee itself is amazing it's honestly really good and worth a try. Videri does have their own bar which has chocolate that you can sample, so you can try out which one you would want. They got a nice panel of assorted chocolate and truffles. This is definitely a really good place to take someone for a nice cute date. The place itself is not big at all, it's rather small but it just perfect.
Note: The parking is free, if you are looking at the chocolate factory, to it's right will be a parking lot. When you go to park, there will be a person there who will give you a ticket, but if you go to the chocolate factory and get it hole punched, it won't cost you to park.
Overall, this is a really nice place to go to. It's very unique and the chocolate itself is very good and has so much flavor to it. They have so many different flavors and assortments of chocolate, I'm sure they have something...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo my husband and I took a mini vacation to Raleigh NC and we decided to visit the chocolate factory. When we walked in the man behind the counter asked if we were new and we said yes. He told us the tour will begin shortly if we would just wait over there in the corner a bit with this other group of people. We waited and waited, after 30min all of us decide to sit down in the cafe to wait and we ordered some drinks. The latte art was really well down but the drink itself tasted bad. After another hour goes by the other group of 5 people leave. ( total hour and half wait time so far and they weren't even busy if was just us and this group.) I really wanna see the factory so we wait another half hour ( 2hours wait time) until my husband gets up to go talk to the guy running the cafe. We he asks him about the tour the guy just looks at us confused and says "Tour, theres no tour. You can just walk back there it's all walked off and stuff." So upset about the wait time and confused about what's going on we walk into the back. There whole "factory" is 3 small rooms, and because we waited so long the only thing we got to see was the chocolate maker cleaning up for the day. When we came out from back my husband goes to ask the guy about what was going on why he said there was a tour when there isn't, and all this guy says, and I kid you not. "Sorry about that, I dont know how to talk to white people." Mind blown.... I dont know if this guy is purposefully trying to sabotage the establishment or if he is just that rude, all I know is they just lost at least 7 customers that day. Would not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFYI - The owner responded right away. Thank you! But I am unable to reply. My apologies. To answer your questions: I did not like the flavor over all of your products and the cost. Secondly, the hot chocolate pops were already 11 days expired and I paid full price.
So I went to this place on December 30th between 7pm and 8pm. I heard great things about their hot chocolate. They said the machine was shut down or something and they did not have hot chocolate available. I cannot give feedback on that, but I bought several items to take back home to Arizona with me. So hereās my evaluation. First of all, I love supporting locally made, owned and operated businesses. This one was a disappointment. Service was just OK. They gave me hot chocolate pops that were 11 days expired at full price. I didnāt realize it until I got home. The marshmallows that are prepackaged were way overpriced and didnāt taste anything different than regular marshmallows. The hot cocoa mix I got in the bag was not at all what I expected. The flavor was OK, but you have to add milk and sweetener. I bought 3 4-packs of chocolate at $13 each. (4 small chocolates at $3.25 EACH!) While they were very rich and good, I felt like that was way too expensive for 4 small chocolates. I spent a total of $111. Good chocolates if you want to just pick up a piece or two only. On a scale of 1-10 on flavor, 7, on value, 3 and service, 5. Sorry. I just had to be honest since I...
