October 11, 2022 The General Manager of the food hall called and made me an offer of a gift card and apologized for that worker. I accepted that and still feel like the person in question needs to be identified & reprimanded. That's out of my control.
I appreciate the offer. I will use the gift card because it is a nice place to have lunch. I really wanted my granddaughter to have a good experience, that part is forever lost.
Again, I appreciate the response to the problem. Next time I'll make sure the police are called. Anyway, life is full of bumpy roads.
October 8, 2022 My whole experience changed today. I ordered a pizza that came out burnt and not edible. I took the pizza back and asked if I could please have another one made because my granddaughter couldn't eat this one. The cook took the pizza threw it in the trash and said she wasn't making another & I couldn't get my money back. I went back to my table.
I then returned to this vendor to try and resolve the issue. The cook told me all the pizza was burnt because of the oven and I wasn't getting anything. I then put my card down on the counter and demanded a refund. At this point a man in a Morgan Street FH shirt came over and told me I needed to learn how to talk to people and that I was disrespecting this woman. I tried to explain what happened and he did not want to hear it. I realized the situation was futile and walked away. While I was walking away the Food Hall worker said "f_ _ _ you then."
Imagine that, a guy that tells me I don't know how to talk to people shouting a profanity at me. I never used any foul language, my tone reflected that rude pizza workers tone, however.
I'll resolve this issue through the bank. MSFH would do itself a favor by monitoring vendors and its own employees.
A previous experience. A nice place, seems to attract the younger crowd from NC State. However, it's not exclusive to that demographic.
We had the fish and chips with shrimp and it was good. I think I'll try a cheeseburger the next time we go.
This place has a lot of food choices and you can also get alcoholic beverages as well.
Kinda cool hang in out on this beautiful day. Oh, the outside is dog friendly. My boy Cody will join us next...
Read moreMy wife and I had a pretty good time at the food hall. This was our first time being there so we were looking around at all of the vendors selling food and taking in the atmosphere. The vibe seemed to be a mixture of many things. I liked the fact there is such a wide variety of food types. The atmosphere was pleasant. Though when we went on a Saturday afternoon and it was crowded, it was not very noisy. it was easy to have a conversation without having to raise your voice. I had the Pick 2 basket (fish and shrimp) at Oak City Fish and Chips and my wife had a lobster quesadilla and lobster bisque at Cousins Main Lobster Restaurant. For the basket, the food was very flavorful. The fries, fish and shrimp were seasoned well, though the shrimp was a little salty for me. You get a good amount of food for the money. My wife mentioned the the lobster bisque was ok, about what you would get at the Publix deli, but the lobster quesadillas were great, especially with a couple of squirts of lime juice on them. You got several chunks of lobster in each triangle of the quesadilla. There are a few additional places we'll try next time for variety. The hall was laid out in several areas. Each area had a slightly different vibe going for it. There were open and covered areas for seating. Lots of room to eat, especially outside. There is one area that seemed like a traditional food court at a mall. Then once you walked though some doors, the are seemed a bit less spacious, but there were more artistic things going on above your head as well as on the walls....Definitely different, but we liked it. We had a nice time out. I did not think the prices were higher than other similar restaurants outside of downtown, especially considering inflation. Parking was bad as expected downtown during that time of day near the food hall. With the amount of different types of food there and and the unique atmosphere, I would definitely recommend trying them out if you're...
