Tonight, I had the incredible opportunity to attend Jason Mraz's concert, a night filled with music, joy, and unforgettable moments. However, amidst the excitement, something rather unexpected happened that left me reflecting on the kindness we should all strive to show towards one another.
During the show, my friend and I noticed a young boy behind us who seemed distraught and we realized that he couldn't see the show and was in tears. Determined to make a difference in his experience, I politely turned to the girl sitting in front of me and humbly asked if she could kindly sit down for a little while, so that the little boy could catch a glimpse of the show.
To my surprise, her response was far from what I had hoped for ā a resounding "no, I won't." In that moment, my heart sank, as I had expected a different reaction from someone attending a concert where Jason Mraz consistently emphasizes the importance of kindness, helping one another, and spreading love.
It's disheartening to witness such self-centered behavior in a space where unity and compassion should prevail. The request I made was not to selfishly inconvenience her, but rather a simple plea to allow a brief moment for a child to experience the magic unfolding on stage. I couldn't help but wonder why this woman seemed to only think of herself, perhaps never having experienced the joys and challenges of being a parent.
Despite this discouraging encounter, I refuse to lose faith in the inherent goodness that resides within each of us. The power of empathy and selflessness has the potential to lift us to great heights. While this incident left me feeling frustrated and disheartened, it also serves as a reminder of the importance of being considerate, lending a helping hand, and spreading kindness wherever we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk, I was impressed and severely disappointed. I bought my tickets (2) in section 6, row D, seat 1 and 2(right on the aisle). Unfortunately, that is directly behind the sound box and you can literally see nothing cuz of ppl standing in the sound box. Only time I got good pictures is when I stood up and walked over next to the sound box and then I got told to 'remove myself'. I asked if i could move seats and showed them several seats on Ticketmaster that were comparable and still available and told no, and that i should have noticed when i bought my ticket that it was low visibility....trust me, if i had known, i wouldnt have bought Literally everyone around me ended up leaving and i saw a group of 4 and 3 other couples all just walk the long way and go sit up front and no one said a thing. But because I had asked to move and told no, then when I did it, I got told to go back to my seat. Only to see a worker for the venue take the seat I had just vacated. Lindsey Stirling was AMAZING and I'm heartsick that this venue and the staff were so terrible.
Word to the wise, if you buy in section 6, you should only get seats in the higher numbers. Definitely not 1-15 or so...for practically the entire section.
Picture is what I saw the entire show. Couldn't even see Lindsey or her dancers as the equipment and ppl all blocked it. And only barely if I stood and if the ppl/staff in and around the box would actually sit and not stand around talking.
But not all was bad, the seats were comfortable and I was impressed how much leg room you got....plenty of room to move around. Or for ppl to go in and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first visit to Red Hat Amphitheater was for Janeās Addiction. Love the band but unfortunately couldnāt see much of the show. Saw JA 35 years ago at the Rialto and it was the best live performance Iāve ever seen and Iāve been to many concerts. So I was looking forward to āseeingā them again. Iām 5ā1ā, my 2 companions were shorter. We were seated in the center section about midway. Suddenly as they come on stage all these people start filling up empty seats in front of us. I find out that they were giving free upgrades to people on the lawn. The guy in front of me (who hadnāt been there for the first 2 acts) was 6ā7ā no lie. They need to offset the chairs at least. And I thought the ground elevated up more as you went back. I canāt imagine how people felt in the front row with the standing crowded pit in front of them. The sound was great. Perry was hoarse and maybe taking cold medicine? I heard complaining about him being high all around me but as I was visually unable to see much I canāt speak to that. The show SOUNDED GREAT. The drum solo was AWESOME. That I could see. Perryās head every now and then and Dave Navarro not much at all. Maybe they need large screens. The venue is nice. Easy parking, bathroom flow good, plenty of food and drink. Just not sure why they designed this seating itās really awful. My niece whose 5 ft said they need an area for under 5ā2ā. Also as I mentioned been to lots of concerts never has it been this difficult for me to see a show. And Perry is a showman so I was very letdown by the venue seating arrangement...
