I stopped by here at 7:25pm on a Thursday evening. I found this by looking for fast food and wanted to try something different from the chain restaurants. On arrival, I looked at the menu which consists of burgers, grilled cheese, hot dogs, and bbq. They also have shakes. It reminds me of the Cookout chain, honesty. As I’m writing this review, I’m wishing they sold hushpuppies, lol. You must order via a piece of paper where you notate your choices, something I was completely unaware at first until I saw someone else grab the sheet. I got a double char burger with bacon, fries, and a brownie w/ no nuts. I placed my order at 7:30. Placing your order means putting it into this little slot where a staff member grabs it. You can put your name at the top or simply remember the number at the top. When ready, they will call your name or number via speakers that are a decent volume. They do have two picnic tables outside on the left side of the building. There is no indoor seating. There is a decent amount of parking available around the restaurant. Upon arrival and waiting, I saw they have a 100% sanitation score. My food was ready at 7:40pm. I was told they were out of brownies but I got a cookie instead. My total was $13.13. My fries were fresh and nicely salted. I realized I mean to get a cheese burger vs chat burger when there was no cheese on my burger lol. For some reason, I thought they were different. However, the burger was delicious. It tasted just like a freshly grilled burger, which is my burger weakness!!! The cookie was so soft and delicious! Additionally, it was warm too, which made it a nice snack after I finished my meal. (I will admit that I asked the employee if the cookie was worth the price before I got it.) My only complaint was that I wasn’t greeted upon arrival or told what I do. I was standing around for a while looking and no one asked if I needed help or to give me instructions on what I needed to do to order. Overall, I would highly recommend and I would definitely return! The staff i encountered when picking up and paying for my order was friendly.

This is the OG of Chargrills. I grew up eating here. All of the food is really damn good. I love the current atmosphere and wish it was not going away for a large building but it is what it is. I am probably bias about chargrill because I have been eating here for such a long time but it is a Raleigh icon and it is a must try asap if you are visiting or live in the area. Hot dogs are red dogs. Chili and slaw is very good. The cheeseburgers are the smallest size of all the burger sizes. They are actually my favorite. The junior is in the shape of a hot dog type bun but the 2nd largest option and the hamburger steak is the largest. All are very good. Apple turn over awesome. Milkshakes are very good but thick. Get a spoon. Go try it before the original location changes. By the way if you have never been here you order by filling out a form and sliding it through a slot in the front window. They will call your name or number on the slip. See pics for form.

This place was one of the best things about Raleigh when I and my daughters visit this summer in the last weekend of June I want to say it was a Friday 6-24 or Saturday 6-25 The food was great, fresh, cook to order, quick, and surprisingly cheap I couldn’t believe it because most burgers places are way more expensive. The people who work there we’re great, friendly and nice and the people waiting for their food we’re also nice and friendly. Plus there was a very nice guy with a dog I think who got his food before us and let a complete stranger me walk up to I think it was a suv or truck and ask him where the closest Walmart was because we need supplies and he pull out his phone and look it up and told me where to go to get to Fayetteville rd which was the biggest Walmart I had ever seen and I have seen a lot of them in another states wow and before I got to thank this very kind sweet man my daughters pull me away because are food was ready. By the time I realize I forgot to thank him for his kindness which was a few mins later after we when back to are escape truck/car, I got back out to thank him and he was already gone. I feel bad I never got the chance to thank him but hopefully he knows how grateful I was for his help and kindness:) We will definitely visit Char Grill again the next time we are...

First time trying this place while in town for GalaxyCon Raleigh 2024 and decided to give it a shot after reading up on the reviews. I had the charburgers, fries, hot dogs, and shakes. I absolutely 100% recommend this location and will return next year for more delicious burgers!

The fries are like a perfect version of what Burger King's fries are and are fantastic.

The burgers are, in my view, a smash burger style and are absolutely phenomenal. I couldn't get enough of them, especially when you put fries on the burgers for extra toppings. They had the perfect charcoal grill flavor to them.

The hotdog I got was okay, but nothing stood out to me. I got it fully loaded and I'd say it was like a 7.5/10 at best. But don't knock it! It's still worth giving a try!

The only negative thing I'd have to say about this spot is that I saw several questionable people around the location (possible addicts by the body language they gave off?) but they can't...
