I was excited to try Simon Says Dip This due to the aesthetic photos of the ice cream cones and I received a coupon for a free small cone with dip and 1 topping (important later), so I went last night to try it out. The dairy free ice cream was delicious and very similar in flavor and texture to the dairy option which my partner got. We both got chocolate cores and dips, and we both thought it had that strange taste that some chocolates have that just is not good. I did like that the dip remained soft, as I do not prefer the dips that turn into a hard shell. It did set so it was not dripping everywhere, and the topping did stay in place more than I was expecting. However, depending on how messy you are, you should expect some/most of the toppings to end up on the table or the floor as that is inevitable. I also thought the cone had a strange flavor, but the brownie topping I had was very soft and delicious. I believe they rang us up incorrectly because the small cone with dip and 1 topping (free with coupon) plus a core add-on and a kiddie cup with core and dip cost us $13! This place had a nice atmosphere, but I was disappointed overall. I would not go back for the chocolate, but I would be willing to give the place a second chance for another flavor if it was not supposed to be $13 for a kiddie cone...
Read moreIncredible! The cookies are out of this world. Definitely the best cookies in the triangle (Big, filled with great fillings). The cones are also super fun. Definitely a fun experience since finding dipped cones in general is tough now a days.
The shell part is soft but stays together incredibly well. I rarely have any ice cream dripping off the side. The toppings tend to fall off while youâre taking a bite, so the bowls are a good option if youâre worried about the toppings dropping off.
Highly recommend getting a core added to yours! The fudge core is my favorite. So many varieties so you can mix and match to your heartâs desire. I am no math expert, but I believe, if you limit yourself to one dip, core, and topping per cone, you would have 4508 possible combinations. That is assuming you just get just one topping though (donât limit yourself).
This is probably my favorite dessert place in...
Read moreWe first discovered this ice cream shop in Durham and instantly fell in love! So when we heard they opened a new location in Raleigh, we were beyond excited especially since itâs much closer to us in Clayton.
The Raleigh spot is tucked away in a charming nook of downtown, surrounded by other great shops, with peaceful outdoor seating that gives off a relaxed, hidden-gem vibe.
Today, my wife visited for the first time and went straight for her favorite the Dubai chocolate and it was just as incredible as the first time. Rich, flavorful, and absolutely memorable. I also highly recommend the raspberry passion fruit flavor itâs next-level refreshing.
This place easily gets a 15/10 from us....
