Living here is a joke. Ever since move in, there have been issues. Welcome letter was sent to me with apartment number on it. Got my utilities and everything setup in my name. Come move in day, had to wait till 2pm to move in. Not a big deal, but would've been nice to know as I was moving in from out of state. Deposit must be made with money order too, FYI (or cashiers check). Got my keys, and the apartment number was different than was on my welcome letter. So, I had to set up utilities AGAIN under the correct address. Lost applicable startup fees.
From day one, this apartment has had a huge bug problem. Thousands of little rollie pollies, cockroaches, spiders, etc. Way more than your normal apartment. I believe this is due to literal gaps in between the floor and the wall, with a huge gap in the bedroom between my wall and the outside. There are probably 100 bugs just dead in the corner. Nonetheless, I reached out via email about the bug concern. If you ever need to get ahold of these people, good luck, as they will straight up ignore your emails. Phone line is nonexistent as well. So, after finally getting someone over to spray the apartment, I thought all was good. After a few weeks, more cockroaches flooded the apartment (at least 1 per day on average). Sent numerous emails with pictures, and after the third follow up was able to get response on a "bi weekly schedule" to have their pest control guys come over and spray. Weeks went by and they never came. I emailed AGAIN, and they were there the next day. However, that was over a month later. They never went back on any sort of "schedule" again. There were other action items too, like verifying things on the property etc, but they will never honor that. They only will respond to you if you downright beg them, or force their hand and go to the office. So, bugs infested my apartment with nothing done by management besides 2 pest control visits about a month apart.
Next, I was expecting an important letter in the mail. Come to find out my key mysteriously no longer worked for my mailbox. Send an email, and of course nobody responds over the course of a week, so I go into the office to figure out what's going on. "Oh we need to change the locks, add your name to the list". I did that, they said it would maybe be a week. I reach back out after over a week via email and, of course, no response. Finally go in after 2 weeks and they've got my key in a big box of other keys. Did they change everyones mailbox lock and just not tell us? Seems really weird. No apologies, no sincerity, just "here's your key". Thanks, would have been nice to be notified that A - the locks got changed and B - when the key would be ready.
Finally, there was an issue for my bedroom window preventing it from closing. This was on the ground floor, and I could not lock/close the window. Not only did this make the bug problem worse, it was also a HUGE security concern. I sent in a maintenance request like normal, pleading the urgency for someone to come look at it. It sat for weeks with no update. I sent some follow up emails in the meantime, didn’t hear anything back. Finally, after emailing the property manager directly, they got someone on it. I informed them to PLEASE let me know before they come over, as I work from home and want to make sure I am available to explain what is going on. They never did, and showed up at 5PM. Not a big deal, just continues to show how terrible their communication is. Eventually they did fix it, but I shouldn’t have to beg someone to fix a very serious security concern after weeks of hearing nothing. Overall, if you don't want to sleep with bugs, want to check your mail on a regular basis, and want some sort of communication with your landlord, this place isnt for you.
Update – moved out in May, only saving grace is they gave me my full security...
Read moreI have only resided at this complex for two years. It has been one of the worst complexes I have resided in. The only reason I have stayed this long is because of my son and school assignment. I didn't want to leave until my son changes to a new school. The complex keeps going under new management which draws a flag with me. The very 1st management was great when I first moved in. They were quick to complete work orders and they had Orkin on a routine schedule to spray to prevent from having bugs. I didn't have to worry about seeing any type of bugs. Then, they complex went under new management and I find myself having to spray and keep the bugs under control and I'm sick of it. I've never had to live with bugs before at any other complex. I have to keep spraying bleach to clean mold around the windows and master bathroom, I'm not sure if they painted over mold or what but it's black shown under the painted surface. The sinks are rusted, the hardware such as towel bars and faucet handles are all tarnished. I reported with last management of a possible mold issue after discovering a pair of my shoes in my closet had mold all over them and along the baseboard in my closet. I have pictures of it as well. It seem like a pretty quiet community when I first moved in but it has not been a good experience over my two years residing there. I'm looking for a new place to call home because I can't take keep spraying and trying to control bugs. Now, with new management, I had a toilet issue which we had no way of reaching maintenance other than an out of state number that no one ever return your calls. Hopefully, that has been resolved. I can say the current manager did assist in getting my toilet fixed after it was out of order for nearly a week. It's the same toilet which I reported with last management that I believe may be leaking which caused the mold in my closet. I'm too the point I don't see the need to report anything anymore because it may never get fixed anyway. You also need to make sure you keep a good record system of your payments. Since new management has taken over, you have to prove you paid rent and I guess documents were misplaced from last management because I had to keep providing copy of my renter's insurance policy. I know we all must have somewhere to live but if you can find something better then I would because it's not worth it. After my friend's vehicle was stolen while residing at this complex, I knew it was time for me to go. The only improvements I've seen around this complex was the painting they done around the dumpsters. They started on repairing and painting the railings on the apartments which was never completed. It really needs a facelift to compete with other communities for the price they are charging. You could live in up-to-date apartments for $50 to $100 more per month and not having to worry about outdated appliances, bugs, and delayed work orders. I'm searching everyday for somewhere new to live. I can't take living in these conditions and I have small children which I don't want to be in this environment as well. Your apartment will look nothing like the pictures on the internet. I don't even think the resident before me even cleaned up before they left nor was it checked to see the condition of the apartment before I moved in. The apartment was nasty and I did note it on my move in checklist as well. The complex office is the best building in the whole community. The clubhouse is fairly decent but the bathrooms to the clubhouse are gross. I wouldn't use them for nothing. The complex is misconceived by the image of the entrance and office. Then, I was offered to move to another unit but with me paying $500 to transfer to a new unit. Why would I pay $500 to move to another unit when I didn't even pay...
Read moreIf you want to stay somewhere tht allows the tow truck company to be predatory towards its residents then this is the place for you. To get an idea…ride around the community at night. The amount of empty parking spaces and people parked on the street will surprise you. These ppl are parked on the street for fear of being towed at their own home. I’m sure they would love to park closer in 20 degree weather but because we have no support from the office they can not. I was towed for being double parked. I was in the last spot on the row and my tire was over the line…not even in another space but in dead space in the parking lot. The guideline states if you are taking up more than one space. I was in one space but decided to move over a little because I had just purchased my car (I still had 30 day tags) imagine my surprise to pay $225 to get my car back from Wendell 7 days after Christmas. The office stated they have a contract with the tow company and could not provide any help… I’ve asked for pictures…they have yet to get back to me
Before you sign the lease ask about the tow policy. It will help you make the decision

Nothing has been done about the leaves. I can’t even go out my back door for the pile of leaves. There is no upkeep or ground maintenance at all. I had to go to the office and ask for an air filter. If mine wasn’t changed for 2 years I assume everyone else was not changed also. They tow the residences cars if the tags are expired. I feel like Thts not fair for the ppl staying here. Be mindful tht the cars are operable the tags are just over 30 days expired. You never know someone’s financial struggle. My car was towed at the worse time for me financially. It was heartbreaking that there was no support from the office. Just “we have a contract with the tow company…” Now I’m a single woman who has to park on the street and walk in the darkness to my home. Most of these reviews are not residents because it does not depict an accurate account for living at the domain. The pool was closed most the summer. The dog park is horrible and not maintained AT ALL. It looks like it hasn’t had attention in over 2 years. I pay a pet fee…I wonder where tht goes…
Update: The leaves were taken care of a week after this post and the tow truck company was checking tags 2 days...
